Act III : The Ancient Passage In the Sky, Part 1

(should I begin by explaining the name? or leave that for you to guess? ^.^ what is the passage in the sky? you will find out soon. anyway... setsuna's gonna get his ass kicked bad in this chapter. meanwhile, I want to mention that the b/w pic on the inside cover is lovely: the past zaphkiel and anael... ok ok, chapter opens with zaphkiel, shot, wounded and being taken away)

text : -------you------- haven't changed at all.

(scene change to sara... some flashbacks...)

sara (back in her school uniform days) : [onii-chan, I love onii-chan, I love you the most. (and crying) don't leave me again, not again. if onii-chan is killed... i would die too.] (and then from the end of the last volume) setsuna, i'm sorry... (smiles with tears on her face) I... can't go with you. (walks away with sevotharte) [farewell, setsuna. come for me when you become the real messiah.]
setsuna (zaphkiel fallen to the ground after he's been shot) : [sara!! zaphkiel!! (as he's walking, he suddenly stepped on a pair of glasses on the floor and cracked the glass, he picks it up) zaphkiel's...!!] (make his way into the pilot room, everyone else is buckled in their seats)
bord (the only rebel standing, giving directions) : come on everyone, be seated and buckle up your seat belts! we will speed up to max to ditch those pursuers!
setsuna (climbing into the room) : w... wait a minute!! (grab the guy) are we the only ones running away? are you going to leave that old man zaphkiel behind!? isn't he your boss!!?

(oh man he should not have gone there... that guy glared back at him with a look like he's gonna kill setsuna, BANG, he corners setsuna against a wall and knocked the handle of his rifle on the wall right next to setsuna's head)

bord : sit down and shut the fuck up... or I'll fucking kill you.
oba-san (who is driving) : we were ordered by zaphkiel-sama, "the messiah... is our greatest and only light in this hopeless war... without him, we will have no victory. the messiah must not get hurt... no matter what happens, that would be your only mission... give your lives to protecting the messiah, if danger comes, take him back to anagura"...!! that's why he gave his life to save you...!!
bord (the other guy seems more emotional ^^;;) : if it wasn't for our orders... who...! who the fuck would give a damn... for an irresponsible messiah like you...!! no wonder even jibrille-sama dumped you!!
setsuna (he's in a lot of pain and self blame too but i don't pity him at all >.<) : [that's right... I slipped out zaphkiel's name... to sevi.]
bord : you deserve what you got!
setsuna : [and sevi tracing me here, zaphkiel getting shot... it was all...]
oba-san : enough!! get seated and buckle up your seatbelt!! (shuttle flies away)
setsuna : [...due to my foolish acts...!!!]

(zaphkiel is brought to be imprisoned...)

zaphkiel : uh... (they pass by sevi, who goes to see jibrille)
sevotharte : ...you seem to have had a pleasant journey, jibrille.
sara (straight to the point) : is the girl who took my place alright?
sevotharte : ...you mean that girl... it seems that I was correct to take back my order to kill her. even though she is an utterly useless moron, she is still worth something as a hostage... however, shouldn't you be more worried about yourself now?
sara : ...I know. what do you want from me...?
sevotharte : I want you to stand trial as mudou sara for the adultery you have committed with your own brother.
sara (coldly) : despicable...!! how wretched...!
sevotharte (letting a sister help him dress) : shouldn't that be for you?

(sara is lead to a cell)

guard : this is the room.
sevotharte (flashback, while the sister helps him put on his head piece) : she has been pretty troublesome, that girl wouldn't say a word no matter what, but you haven't forgotten have you? (sara walks slowly towards the door) she won't admire you anymore like she used to. she is not that stupid to not know that you have used her. she will only hate you now. it's useless... no matter how hard you beg for her life.
sara (imagines herself going in to talk to moonliel) : lil... i'm sorry, I didn't mean to lie to you... I know I have no right to say this now but I really am sorry... (moonliel looks up glaring at her coldly) yes... it's obvious that she would hate me, I won't be able to see her smile again, but... (looks down) even so, I must go see her... (sadly) [even if that smile will be lost forever...!!] (she enters) ...l... lil...!! (moonliel is lying beaten and unconscious on the ground) he... how terrible...!! (runs in) lil... lil, hang in there! lil... open your eyes!! LIL-----!! (shake moonliel) li... (moonliel's eyes slowly open) ...!
moonliel (the old smile) : welcome back... sara-sama... (sara looks struck) aha, did I worry you? it was my fault that I was discovered. so I lost the switching game, but lil didn't speak to anyone. (smiles) didn't I promise not to speak to anyone until the game was over?
sara : [oh...]
moonliel : lil did her best, I did.
sara (tears welling up) : [oh... what a fool I was...!!]
moonliel : sa... ra...? sama...
sara : [oh... god...! (hugs moonliel tightly)]
moonliel (seems confused) : ...sara-sama? why are you crying? (scene fades out with a moon flower)
sara : [this is the first time in my life that I want to give you a kiss of thankfulness...!!]
moonliel : does your stomach hurt?
text : then... would you forgive me? someone like me... setsuna...

(outside of a building...)

someone : there, we made it!
bord (guy who wanted to beat up setsuna before, firing behind him) : they are coming!
oba-san (grabs setsuna and runs in the other direction) : this way, messiah! the transporter here is capable of ranging long distances. it uses an emergency battery so that's gonna take time but it will get you directly to anagura. bord! afu!! I leave the rest to you!

(afu shoots out his sonic blast and makes a huge explosion behind them, oba-san and setsuna gets inside and she throws him on the transporter)

oba-san : in you go! (bars slide down and locks setsuna in like a cage)
setsuna : h... hey!! oba-chan...!
oba-san (working at the computer) : shut up. how bout I enter the wrong coordinates!?

(suddenly the door opens and a guard comes in)

setsuna : ! (oba-san is quick to shoot him down, but she was also wounded) oba-chan!! are you hit?
oba-san : I thought I told you to shut up. there is only one thing you can do now. (covering her wound around the waist with one hand) and that is to burn the scene of our battle~~~~~~ into your heart... what you may learn from it afterwards... that is the greatest gamble we are making...! (setsuna seems muffled for a sec, oba-san runs out) it's another 70 seconds until transfer is completed... I'll hold them off until then!
setsuna : [she's planning to die, oba-chan!!]
oba-san : I won't hand you over to those bastards!! (outside, the others are already lying in pools of blood) ah! afu!! did they get you!!? (kneeling next to afu) assholes...!! (shoots everyone coming her way, then the gun dies) [it's out of energy...!!]
more men (coming) : this way!!
oba-san : shit! (just when she was out of ideas, suddenly a hand grabbed her arm, afu looks up fiercely with his eyes turning blood red and holds out a last grenade) afu...! I see... you're terrific... you are a strong boy...!! you're mother in paradise will be proud of you... (well, technically it's your mother in heaven... -_-;; but they are already in heaven... ahem...)
afu (points to oba-san) : ...m... mo...ther...!
oba-san : w... what are you saying, you...!? your... your real mother was killed long ago by the guys up there...
afu : mother... (touch oba-san's face and smiles) hah... (she looks at him sadly)
computer : 10 seconds until transportation. 9, 8
setsuna (in horror) : [n...]

(oba-san takes the grenade from afu)

computer : 7, 6, 5
oba-san : ...that's right. that's my good boy...
setsuna : [no don't, oba-chan...!?]
computer : 4
setsuna : [what are you doing...!!]
computer : 3
oba-san : mother is proud of you...! (soldiers coming towards them) yes, come on, (smirk) come a little closer, dumbass. (setsuna looks horrified) messiah, watch clearly... (the whole place explodes)
text : what exactly can our death leave behind...!

(the flames reach into the transportation room... the second setsuna begins to fade into a bright light)

setsuna (wide eyes) : [it...!! (down in anagura...) it shouldn't be like this...]

(in anagura, a bright light on the big floating rock he left from)

kurai (looks like she just woke up) : huh? (climb out of her blanket) ...! (noise is also sleeping besides her) se... setsuna!! you came back!?
setsuna (looks up with a very quiet and sad expression that stops kurai and noise from running towards him) : ...what... are you doing over there...? have you... been waiting for here...? even though you didn't know when I might be back...?
noise : oh yeah! once we brought raziel back, princess said she wanted to come back here, so I stayed as her guard...!
side note : you were dead asleep a moment ago...
noise : princess has been so worried that she hasn't eaten anything...!
kurai : setsuna, are you alright? what's with your hair!? and your hand was injured!!
sara (flashback) : [you must realize as well...]
setsuna : i'm sorry...
sara : [the people we have hurt without noticing...]
kurai (lost) : setsuna...? what's wrong...!?
text : yes, it's not something that can be resolved by apologizing...!! the reality that oba-chan and others taught me with their lives, sara... and zaphkiel...!! I must take up the responsibility from now on... because everything was my fault...!!

(raziel stood there in complete disbelief, he looks........ scary...)

raziel (I would not try to talk to him right now -_-;;) : it's a lie...!! ...you mean that... you dared to come back alone...? after sacrificing the lives of so many comrades... and... abandoned zaphkiel-sama...!! and... zaphkiel-sama...! (looks like he's gonna beat up setsuna) what kind of goddamn messiah are you!? (if he was not held back by evils) did I say so!? a coward like you is not the messiah that we believe in... is... is this the one that we have given our lives to fight for!? (setsuna looks down in silence) are you... are you really the chosen messiah...? tell me, who did you ever save... (cries angrily) I... do not acknowledge such a messiah!! I despise you from the bottom of my heart!! (points to setsuna) mudou setsuna...!! I will never forgive you...!! (turns around and runs out) I won't rely on anyone, believe in anyone anymore!! I will save zaphkiel-sama by myself!!
setsuna (calls after him) : raziel...!!!
text (raziel ran off without looking back) : this... everything... (kira, katou and some evils standing silently nearby) is all due to (sara walking away, zaphkiel being shot, oba-san's suicide mission) my foolish arrogance...!!! (setsuna covers his face in pain, and bends down on the ground) even tearing my flesh thousands of times won't atone for anything. what... must I do...!!

Act III : The Ancient Passage In the Sky, Part 2

(ah this is a bit sad but this book - 13 - is pretty dark w/ lots of torture devices etc. I have the funny feeling that Yuki-sensei had a lot of fun researching this stuff.... -_-;; ancient torturing devices.......)

text (zooms in on a cell at the end of the hall) : DONG... DONG... DONG... (sound effects *sweatdrop* next up, i want to explain that... I have looked all over for a better word, chopping, slashing, slicing, severing... watever it was... I will stick with wing cutting -_-;;) wing cutting [hane otoshi] is the most cruel and extreme punishment in shikouten. dealing ultimately the worst pain and humiliation by severing the wings that are the sign of an angel.

(wings that are locked in chains, a screw nails it into the lock... errr, vivid details ^^;;)

text : ---------rotten stench. ---------the stink of burnt flesh--------- howls as if they do not come from this world. even the most proud and elite creatures are no different from insects being stepped on in the agony of their deaths.

(water splashes)

sariel (a stern man wearing an eye patch *pirate captain! ...ahem*) : don't let him pass out, wake him.
text : and all I can see is the endless darkness.
sariel (standing back a bit, kinda like supervising) : I won't let you off that easily, (other men standing by, one just threw the bucket of water on the one chained up, the other is holding a whip) Great Thrones.
text : is this truly paradise?

(vaguely sees zaphkiel chained up and in a bloody mess)

text : rapunzel, rapunzel, my love. please let down your long hair. (sketch of a tower... looks like it came out of a fairytale book, a girl at the window high up and her prince climbing up the tower using her hair as a rope) for some reason there is no entrance nor exit to this tower, only that old witch may enter with her magic. come, rapunzel, let me come to you by your hair. let us weave every night the hours of magic that belongs only to us.
sara (reading... it WAS from a fairytale book) : this place is just like rapunzel's tower.
*note* (see bottom of page where the * is) : rapunzel = an allegory from the grimm fairy tales
sara : only the captured girl neither has long hair, nor a prince...
moonliel (her voice is loud enough to blow sara away) : ahhh! sara-sama! the dust they have here just can't be cleaned------- (in some messy corner holding a broom) just how long are we going to stay here-----?
sara : that's why I told them to let you go...
moonliel (protest) : you can't, I'm the only one who can take care of sara-sama! but really, sara-sama, how long will it be?
sara : well... (pretty much expressionlessly) probably until that terrifying white hair angel announces my judgment.

(fade out)

sariel : Yetzirah fifth heaven Mathey (note - third one down, meaning the one right below briah where sevi lives, we're slowly moving upwards ^^;;) this is the Passage In The Sky (literally path in mid air), known as the largest prison facility in heaven... (I added in that "in heaven" cuz it sounds strange without it) security has tightened much ever since alexiel's angel crystal was taken by evils and the last great principalities resigned. (he is accompanying sevi who is apparently inspecting the place, not far from them is a high tower - sara's room) it will be the responsibility of I, the great principality sariel, to guard her... it is impossible even for jibrille-sama to escape the legend of the Passage In The Sky.
sevotharte : ...that is good enough, sariel. take me to that room.
sariel : yes sir. (suddenly, a melody seems to come from inside sevi's robes)
sevotharte : !
sariel : that song...?
sevotharte (pulled out something from his pocket) : [it's from the earring the messiah left behind...!? (the earring that held nydd hogg's scale... he threw it off the balcony as hard as he could)]
sariel (surprised) : prime minister...? (the earring fell somewhere into the bushes)
sevotharte : ...it's nothing. take me there now.
sariel : ...uh? yes.
sevotharte (darkness came over his face) : to zaphkiel's room...!

(the earring lies quietly in the bushes, meanwhile, down in anagura...)

kurai : hey... setsuna... (knocking on his door) I brought you some food. come out, how long are you going to stay in there?
setsuna (his voice blasting out) : LEAVE ME ALONE! (very depressed inside) i'm sorry... i'm in a horrible mood... please... just let me think alone for a little longer...!
text (sara) : farewell, setsuna.
setsuna : [it was all my fault. sara left me, zaphkiel was caught, and oba-chan died, even raziel turned his back on me.]
text (raziel) : tell me, who did you ever save
setsuna (well i wonder who's fault it is that we're in this mess) : [what have I been doing until now? I conceitedly thought that I could do anything... when I was hailed as the messiah...! but in the end, only many lives were sacrificed for me...! how can I repay them...!? what must I do... I... have no right to be the messiah... the leader!!!]
kurai (outside, big watery eyes) : ...setsuna... *sniff* (turns around and sees someone who has their foot on the wall)
someone : ge~~~~ez, he's going into starvation again? people like him are so weak in the face of adversity.

(kira and katou, both smoking, are acting like the cool street punks that they are ^^;; and katou of course is the one resting his foot on the wall)

katou : why don't we... make him a little wet?
kira (cool as always) : ...why not...
kurai : eh? w... what did you mean by a little wet!? (too late...) hey... hey wait!! onii-chanra! (japanese lesson again, ra at the end is just for plural purposes, as for the onii-chan, it's a more gang/street ish way of speaking, it's funny if you get what I mean ;_;)
katou (kicks door) : hey open up, kurai-chan's crying, ya know. how much longer are you gonna be depressed like that.
setsuna (scream from inside the room) : ...I said leave me alone!! even if I'm alive, I'm just worthless trash anyway!
katou (outside with his usual -_- face) : pssh, this is not the first day you became trash...! ...let's go.
setsuna (looks up with a sweatdrop suddenly as he hears this DONG DONG sound on his door) : !
katou (BANG, kicked open the door and makes a grand entrance) : here comes the LONDON BOOTS!! (*this is when I fall off the chair laughing* ... and in small letters under, it says) © gasa ire
kira (on the side) : [who's that.]

(ok, if you don't get the london boots joke, it's ok... ;_; if you get it, you will probably have a face similar to mine right now *ahahahaha* ahem, the two scary shadows loom darkly over setsuna who has this funniest face ever, with a sweatdrop and a totally intimidated look that's like "I'm dead". two little arrows points to kira and katou ^^;; number 1 -> kira, number 2 -> katou, which is referring to the london boots thing ^^)

katou : do you know who you are talking to. it's a hundred years too early for you. (both glares down at him darkly) get up. (grabs setsuna)
setsuna : w, what are you doing...!!
kurai : wai... wait... a sec... stop-----!

(*splash* setsuna found himself sitting in the middle of the fountain in the garden... with a funny face)

katou : that should cool your head a bit!
setsuna (revert to the really depressed look) : but... but there's nothing I can do...! (bangs his fists on... the water surface -_-;;) it's all... all my fault...!
kira (steps up) : yes, it's all your fault. (setsuna froze) it happened because you acted without thinking. your lack of fear in that wild and free spirit is what draws everyone to you. but before you knew it, the cross that burdens you have grown so heavy for you to turn back anymore. you are no longer alone, for better and for worse. look again around you, those who have been at your side through all the times of hardship until now. you save people and people save you... helping each other... through much blood... and with that, you have finally come this far...
setsuna : [...that's right, back then... even then, i was never alone, always fighting with my friends. those who have always been the support of my heart...!!]
kira : that's why you must believe and rely on them more, everyone is waiting for you. (he pretty much spoke without a change in expression)
setsuna : [and even now... for me]
kira : because everyone wish to stay by your side.
setsuna : [for a fool like me, senpai has spoken words from his heart...!!]
kira : because everyone has chosen to stay by you, try to be more kind to them... (setsuna looks up... he looks... "enlightened" -_-;; no, it's just my choice of word, kira points to katou with the same blank face) why would even this twisted weirdo here stick onto you if they didn't like you?
katou (hair standing up with a hand on kira's shoulder and a very pissed off face ^^) : WHA! (vein) what disgusting thing do you think you're talking about!
setsuna : heh (the two stopped their argument and both turned to look at him) hehehehe... ahahahahahaahah... (setsuna burst out laughing in the pond) [that's right...! what I must do now is not stay here and repent my faults...] hahahah... [the lives and hard work they gave must not be wasted... now I must think of what I can do...!! what I need... to become the true messiah. what I should do... I must work together with everyone... (he stood in the water, covering his face)]
katou (sweatdrop) : yo... he's messed up. suddenly bursts out laughing and then all quiet again... [I think he lost it.] (suddenly a hand below him grabbed his ankle) WAH!!

(*splash* ...again ^^;;)

katou (got dragged into the water by setsuna) : asshole, what do you think you're doing!! (setsuna's clinging onto him, trying to drown him if you ask me ^^;;) let go of me, this is disgusting!!
setsuna : ...you. (both quiets down into a more tranquil mood, setsuna still clinging onto katou) thank you, for standing by me. (looks up, katou besides him is just as wet ^^;;) kira senpai, i can't make the past disappear, but if everyone stays with me, as long as I have that, I will have what it takes to start over again...!
kira (smiles slightly) : aren't we glad?

(later, setsuna's eating, and took off his wet shirt and wrapped in a towel, so is katou ^^;;)

setsuna : I have thought of much since then... I wasn't really aware of much, always thinking only about myself... maybe I really don't have what it takes to be the messiah... yeah, I know you're gonna say "that again" but... I just... thought... I want to get raziel back. from heaven...! now that I think about it, the thing that zaphkiel sacrificed his life to hand over to me... was him. we could be true comrades, if I stopped my foolishness... of course I'm not saying that I'm going alone again, the transporter no longer works and I don't know how else we are going to get there... but if there is a way... I wish you can help me... bear with me just one last time...!
katou : you shoulda said so... from the very beginning, idiot. (i'm exhausted at this point, why is this chapter not over yet?) I'm going with you this time, you'd wanna see heaven some time too right, kira?
kira : ...why not. at least I won't be bored.
setsuna : [senpai...! katou...]
kurai : setsuna!! can I... can I go too!?

(looks up at kira who's talking to setsuna right now, with katou on the side) can it be...!?]
katou (sitting on the side in his always pissed off face, vein) : [I've been thinking about this, how come you dragged me and not kira into the water-------!? hey!]

(kurai looks at kira, who appeared same as always... in heaven, sariel is leading sevi through the passage in the sky and various howls and screams come from the cells they pass by)

some random person : AHHHHHHHHHHHH
another random person : kyaaaaahhhhhh
more random people : ahhhhhhhhh~~~~~
sariel : it's a terrible place... here at the lowest level, we keep the worst prisoners, and due to the "wing cutting" all the ones here have lost their mind. (leads sevi to a room) that is the room.

(inside, zaphkiel's hands are bound in chains, all the guards salute as the two enters)

sevotharte (plainly) : everyone leave. (once they all left, he grabbed a err... brander? those sticks that you make brands with... and pressed it on zaphkiel's chest)
zaphkiel : UH!
sevotharte (the marks burn in deep, he holds up zaphkiel's head so they are speaking face to face) : does it hurt...? oh really... and it's even more frightening when you can't see anything... (zaphkiel's eyes are blank) how pitiful...! even you who has been so proud would end in such misery... but I won't kill you so easily. I will have your wound today healed just like the gunshot before. just like prometheus in mythology who is chained to a rock and continues to have his liver eaten by an eagle everyday. as for you... I will have you suffer the torture of "wing cutting" from now on in a place no one knows...! your appearance horrible to look upon and your mind occupied by pain and decay... I will make you suffer down here for as long as you live. that is the most appropriate punishment for you... you who continuously betrayed me...!
zaphkiel (if you want more gruesome details, he's even standing on a spiked platform) : ...w... why...! why... do you... hate me... so...? what... have you...!!
sevotharte (was silent for a moment) : because... you have polluted her. (a very scary insane look on his face as he looked down at zaphkiel) you corrupted anael, zaphkiel...!

(fade out...)

man 1 : who's the boy?
man 2 : the distress signal was sent from the forbidden area around hell.
man 1 : why would this kid be in such a place alone?
man 2 : who knows, anyway, he wouldn't say a word after I saved him, I don't think giving him a beating helped the situation.
man 1 : no, I don't suppose so. (these are two angels driving a cargo truck, in the back seat was a little boy curled up under a cloak)

man 1 (a hand reach up behind them) : he must be insane to defy sevotharte, even morons have some sense.
man 2 : really... ahahahha...

(suddenly he stopped dead as the hand was placed on his head and there was a glowing light. he dropped dead on the floor and standing over him was raziel - the boy in the cloak - and the look on his face was scary as ever)

Act III : The Ancient Passage In the Sky, Part 3

(things just get more interesting from here on, we begin with a flashback from raziel's troubled past)

raziel : [no! no, I didn't steal it!]
office man (one of those useless people who just sit at their desks) : ...hm? who're you?
classmates : [then how did you know where it was?]
raziel : [I'm not lying! I heard the voice from Shard's mind, he was the one who stole it!]
office man (takes out his glasses) : how did you get in here? where are the guards?
raziel (seems distressed and panicking) : [I'm not lying! I can hear everyone's voices. just like right now, I know that you all hate me.]
text : everyone's voices that are accusing me... it's tearing my mind.
boy at the door : no one will be getting up again, captain, you are the only one left. (apparently this useless office guy is the captain of the guards -_-;; and he finally managed to put on his glasses, at the door of his office stood a boy almost completely covered in a cloak) I want a security pass, to the passage in the sky in the fifth heaven Mathey. (approach the captain's desk slowly, all the guards are dead at his feet) since the security pass must have your authorization. (his eyes are glowing freakily)
captain (very frightened and sweating) : [r... red pupils...!?] n... nonsense! I can't possibly do that!! [t... this guy is an I-Child...!!?]
raziel (yes, as if you didn't know already... still approaching slowly, he scares me right now) : it's alright. the pass really only needs your hand print on it, it's fine even if it's the hand of a dead man.
captain (pulls out a gun) : d... damn you, you really think you can do that!? look at this!! I have a gun!! (somehow that sounds really stupid ^^;; or comical, I know how dangerous a gun is but at this point, I have a *oh I feel so threatened~* attitude, I think it's the way he said it -_-)
raziel (quietly) : shoot if you like... but who is the gun pointing to?
captain : wha...? (his hand has turned around on its own and pointed the gun at his own face) what...?

(he looked at it with the utmost horror... from outside, a clear gun shot was heard. setsuna at the same time is examining a large dragon, the one that kurai rides around all the time)

setsuna (look up) : I... ...I'm suppose to ride this thing into heaven...?
kurai (affirmative look) : that's right!! [you got a problem with that!]
setsuna (sweatdrop in protest) : yo! aren't we gonna be obvious targets if we go in on this stupid thing!?
kurai (arms crossed) : he's a smart and understanding cute dude, those other cranky dragons would swallow humans in one bite! (and points to a device tied on the dragon) don't worry! the device raziel left behind came in just handy.
setsuna : what is that thing...
kurai : it somehow expands a magnetic field that is undetectable by heaven's shield barrier, basically you can go in without being picked up by their radar.
setsuna : so that's how those weird angels before went to assiah... it's so strange... is the interior administration of the angel forces really so sloppy.
kira (near by, packing for the trip) : this may come in useful, it's a full blueprint of heaven.
noise (carrying a large package) : [this is lunch.]
setsuna (turn to kira) : then let's bring it.
kurai (suddenly got reminded again) : [sakuya... (looks at setsuna and kira) in the end, I still didn't say it.]
noise (talking to kurai like she didn't realize something was wrong) : [would you like some, princess?]
kurai : [but... (flashback to the statue in hell) why does sakuya look exactly like the demon lord we saw in hell? I just can't over look it. but I can't ask now... everything will wait until everyone comes back. yes... plus sakuya has been with us for so long, he's always cool but I think he's a trustworthy man. therefore all I can do now is pray for everyone's safety...! (no one notices that all this is going through her mind) I'm most worried about setsuna right now...]
setsuna : [ah, yuu-kun, (point) you're late. (katou comes)]
katou : [who are you calling yuu-kun? (vein) and don't point your finger at me.]
kurai (watches those two get into a funny scene again) : [he's forcing himself, appearing all cheerful... and he hasn't mentioned that at all, not a word...!!] (suddenly grabbed setsuna's sleeve, he turns around looking surprised) s... setsuna, why... why haven't you said a word about sara!! that's so strange!! you're usually all over sara... but because those things happened... are you going to force yourself to forget!!]
setsuna (mess up her hair with a -_- face) : [is your head itching----]
kurai : ACK~ (jump back with a sweatdrop and messed up hair)
setsuna : I'm not forcing myself, or else I'll be going bald. as for sara... of course I haven't forgotten. I will surely go save her one day... but if I can't even protect my friends, sara will just dump me again. this is all I can do right now.
sara (flashback) : [you must realize how many people we have hurt up until now, be kind to them.]
setsuna : only when I can appear before her without shame as the messiah, then I will go get her.
kurai : [setsuna...]
setsuna (bends down and smiles) : kurai is also my wonderful friend, and someone I want to protect. therefore you must take good care of "our anagura" too.
kurai : ["our anagura"...] (eyes widen) I... (push setsuna away HARD heheh, set-chan looks funny) I know already...! alright!! stop stalling and go help to get raziel and zaphkiel out of there!! [setsuna really changed.] hurry up already! (pushing him that way and pounding on his back) [it's different from the uncertainty I have felt until now of being left behind alone.]
setsuna : oww owww, i'm going so stop hitting me!
kurai : [I'm still worried, somewhere deep inside, but I believe in him. yes, setsuna... (setsuna waves back with his cheerful smile and gets on the dragon with kira and katou) he will surely bring everyone back to us...! (they fly off, leaving the kingdom of evils behind) he will surely bring them back...!!]

(on the dragon)

katou (blank face) : yo, mudou...
setsuna (turn around) : eh? [don't tell me you want to go to the bathroom.]
katou : so you were dumped by your sister.
setsuna (bellow... as the dragon flies off into the distance ^^;;) : HELLZ NO!! (vein) that's not what happened!!!
katou : you don't have to get so upset-----.
kira : you two just get along so well.

(*sweatdrop* those three..... will have a *ahem*very*ahem* interesting trip to heaven -_-;; you can anticipate. meanwhile... comes one of my favorite *twisted* scenes)

sevotharte (a portrait of anael) : anael, once a dominions ST, had eyes more blue than the skies of the angels' kingdom and brilliant golden hair, beauty that would possess anyone. and she was more intelligent than anyone; being the director of a research team and a high ranking angel, she had a brilliant future laid before her. ...until you appeared... she was stained by her scandal with the infamous Great Thrones. you were the one who took away those beautiful wings, zaphkiel... ...so you shouldn't have any complaints if I were to take away your wings, would you? don't worry, you're suppose to be dead already. it is a piece of cake to clean up the remains of "anima mundi" once they are without a leader.
zaphkiel : god... will punish you. once god awakens... when he sees what you have done...!
sevotharte (chuckle) : hah, what did you say... someone like you would pray... ...to god!? to adonai *hebrew for lord*!! (violently pulls on the chains around zaphkiel's neck and pulls him closer) do you really think god is sleeping? god is no longer here. (zaphkiel's eyes widen) more accurately, adonai and his quarters in the upmost level, "etenamenki", cannot be found. the story that god has fallen into an eternal sleep for the next war of heaven and hell... was only a plot invented by the high council to gain control of heaven. oh yes, we are the children that even god has abandoned since so long ago. (really scary glow in his eyes) so be it, then we who remain shall rule for ourselves. this is the deepest secret of the high council. once their master was gone, the elders of the high council began their struggle for power and uses the opportunities presented in such chaos. however, our plan to clear the face of the earth was stopped by adam kadmon's miracle in place of god. the one who has vanished so long ago... the time magic placed on assiah came from the highest realm in heaven... where a vast amount of energy was released. (press on a control panel near by, it lifts up the chains tied around zaphkiel's wrists) do you know what this means...? in short, whether god is alive or not, he will continue to spend long, silent days in "etenamenki"... serafuita adam kadmon will rise in his place and create miracles to save earth from the hidden tower. and the "etenamenki" that seals adam kadmon disappears somewhere in the highest realm!
zaphkiel (being lifted up) : uhh!
sevotharte : ...the rest is simple. I will give you only one chance... to live...! zaphkiel! find "etenamenki" which vanished from atziluth and obtain the serafuita adam kadmon...! [the lost power of miracles... if I obtain that enormous power from before when heaven and hell separated... then... I can wipe away in an instant those foolish, pathetic humans polluting earth along with the seven realms of hell. (great plan, but... when is his speech going to be over -_-;;)] we must amend the grave mistakes that god made, and create a new genesis! you can make it possible!! the world will be in our hands!! (he's in one of those self indulging moods again -_-)
zaphkiel (very quiet and calm) : how can the children... still laugh in the utopia of madness... (of course he doesn't mean literally "kids", the children of god) you... don't understand anything... you are even more blinded than I who have lost my sight... you cannot see anything...! you don't even realize... that your sins have long ago fouled your face.
sevotharte (face turns white and hits zaphkiel with his staff) : silence...!! silence!!! silence!!! (continues to beat him and stab him insanely) talking about sins, you are not any better than myself!! not any better! anael died for your sins!! yes, and anael's madness... you drove anael to madness!! a devilish man who uses even the ones he love and lead them to death... (a lot of blood splashed on him but he doesn't seem to notice, what happened to his neat freak-ness?) that is who you are, zaphkiel-----!!!

(his bloody staff drops to the floor and it's bent -_-;; *sob, my poor zaphkiel* he's sweating and catching his breath, still looks completely mad)

sevotharte : why... (grabs zaphkiel's hair) you who use to be so proud and the most brutal and fearsome warrior, why would you appear like this before me...!! why are you torturing me...!! (hold up zaphkiel's face) oh yes... you have not changed at all from before...! (kisses him on the lips, though through his veil) those cold eyes no longer reflect anything... (buries his face in zaphkiel's chest) they will continue to reject me forever...!
text : but I won't allow this again. I will brand you and bind your hands and feet in chains. (zaphkiel has absolutely no change of expression on his face this whole time, just like sevi said, cold and rejecting him forever) and yet, if you still try to fly away from me...
sevotharte : yes...
text : then I will destroy your wings.
sevotharte : you were the one who corrupted me...!!
zaphkiel : [ah... I see... so it was you...! time in your heart... (sevotharte fell down on his knees before zaphkiel) has stopped ever since the night of that nightmare...]

(just want to say that that was a very eerie picture -_-;; anyway, scene change...)

location : ---shikouten raqia junk yard---
robot's head (half broken) : *beep*
someone : no good! (toss) can't use it. (toss, toss, he's digging the junk yard -_-) and this, and this! they have nothing good lately in the junk yard... [such a decline from before...] (apparently he always digs junk yards -_-;; picks up something) yo, t, this is it!! the mid D-R model hyper chip that they stopped producing a long time ago!! (the thing beeps) !

(overhead, setsuna and co are flying over the huge junk yard on the dragon)

setsuna : wahhh, it's huge-----
katou : this is heaven? it's so ugly.
setsuna : no good... the magnetic field is a mess and I can't pin point our exact location.
katou (grab the device) : eh? gimme that, you can fix it like this. (beat on it -_-;;)
setsuna (horrified look) : wah!! stop that!! this is not like some old woman beating on a TV-------!!
kira (who sat aside all this time) : ! something caught us.
setsuna (both looks at his with a ? face) : huh?

(the dragon grunts and all them suddenly falls from mid air)

katou : wah-----!! what the hell------!! (actually he said what what what ^^;;)
setsuna : we're falling-------------!!

(pitiful screams ;_; the dragon landed with a big boom in the junk yard...)

setsuna (he's still alive) : ...uh...
katou (at least they are all in one piece, the dragon has a KOed face @.@) : owwwch... is this for real...?
setsuna (in the worse case of the three, the dragon fell on him ^^;; and one of katou's foot is resting on his head) : u~~~~~~~h (lots of sweatdrops) u~~~~~~~~~h
kira (how come he's in one piece, still nicely sitting on the dragon -_-) : didn't I say something caught us.
junk digger : what the hell, isn't this a lost dragon. (he's wearing a type of gas mask that completely covers his face and holding a pretty large gun) I'm not interested in living things. now get a move on it!
katou (scratch head) : n... no living things... means you like corpses?
kira (patting the dragon in the background) : [are you ok? (the poor dragon ;_; has a teary face)
setsuna : who the hell is this guy...?
katou (jump up angrily) : yo!! what kinda fucking attitude is that after you shot us down from the sky! (vein) so you gonna hold the funeral for us if we die!?
setsuna (standing in the background with kira, both with sweatdrops and a -_- face) : [but you're already dead.]
kira : [this is not really the best time to talk about that.]
someone (suddenly) : don't move! (katou still grabbing the junk digger's shirt)
katou (vein and sweatdrop and a ? face, turns in that direction) : [eh--!?] (jumps away just in time) WAH!! (as he got shot at)

(a group of people appear on top of the piles of junk, armed and numerous, one of their guns is still smoking from just having fired)

leader (of the group) : why have you returned, messiah. zaphkiel-sama sacrificed himself to save him, and all the members of our "anima mundi" who gave their lives... do you want to make all that meaningless?

(sitting on his desk, watching, as he is talking on the phone, is rociel. sariel hangs up)

rociel (smiles) : I'm delighted to see that the great white angel seems to be as cold and energetic as always. (giggles) but really... the world as changed much since my long absence. and you are now the highest commanding officer of the passage in the sky...! (hugs) how impressive... (runs a finger along sariel's face, sariel seems a bit taken aback) nee... sariel? (puts a hand on his eye patch, sariel is alarmed by it) ...your right eye... an evil eye that can control others and even take lives at times...! you have always been exiled from society for the demonic powers that you were born with... do you still remember who stopped you when you tried to destroy it in despair...? and even healed you afterwards... (a scene of rociel visiting a man who was about to stab something into his face) hm...? (rociel looks freaky this close to you) you are sweating... are you alright, sariel?
sariel : y... yes...!
rociel (looks at him closely) : ...so, someone is getting their wings cut... poor soul. ...i wonder who it is? could it be the leader of the rebel alliance that they captured...?
sariel : ...... no... it's just a nobody from the lower angels. he angered the prime minister when he refused to talk.
rociel (gets up) : hmph... well whatever... I would rather kill someone quickly, than to endure the wing cutting, especially if it's a personal attachment. (leaving) ah yes, soon there will be a party, and there might even be some rarely seen faces among the guests. but it'll get ugly if michael decides to take a part in it.
sariel : ...?
rociel : see ya, I'll come again, say good bye to zaphkiel for me before the wing cutting, sariel.

(back to the junk yard... our rare guests ^^ the leader in the gas mask speaks to setsuna and co)

leader : why have you returned, messiah--------
setsuna : ..."anima mundi"...! please...! believe me just one last time! we want to help zaphkiel... and raziel! please give me one more chance...!!
a rebel : what the...! (points his gun at setsuna, leader pushes away his gun) deputy...!
leader : calm down. we are officers, not rogues, even if they call us rebels. anyway, come to our base first, the junk yard is not the place to talk. it's not good for your health if you stay long in this poisonous place without a mask.
katou (sweatdrop) : EH!? is that why they are all in full armor!! (everyone has a gas mask on)
leader : you too, riuet-sama!! that's enough with digging trash. come, everyone, this way...
riuet (watches katou walk away) : ......
katou : [damn-- do they mean dioxin and stuff---?]

(riuet continues a close watch on katou and throws away his junk carelessly, once inside, everyone has their masks off)

kira (-_- face, woman -> vein, sweatdrops, hair standing up...) : he has a bad habit of saying plainly what he thinks. (on the side, riuet has been -----> gazing at katou closely)
katou (vein, sweatdrop, when riuet took out a scope thing to focus on katou) : hey you-----... (patience running low, grabs riuet's shirt) you've been staring at me since earlier!! (vein) I'll have to charge you a viewing fee! you made us fall down and my body is still in pain from the shock!
riuet : ! (katou looked like he was gonna punch him)
woman : riuet-sama!
riuet (fell down, his mask came off, he's only a kid *no wonder he's so short*) : pain...?

woman (sweatdrop, worriedly) : please stop! don't make riuet-sama...

riuet (takes off his glove to show a glove device around his hand) : it's an electric shock. this power glove can kill someone at max. and the maximum lock strength is 250. (grab katou's hand and squeeze) so?
katou (lots of sweatdrops, hand in pain) : STOP
riuet : ehh... (have a very evil glow in his eyes) no short circuits, and the pain transmitting nerve system is perfect. the blood vessels and muscle activities under the surface are all good. (hands touching all over katou's body greedily) this body... (katou is already very very pale with these ||||| lines on his face) can I have it? [I really want it]
katou (all you hear is his scream) : WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS HENTAI~~~~~~~
woman (looks like she has a headache, sweatdrop) : ...ehh... looks like riuet likes him...!
setsuna (funny face) : that is called liking?
kira (funny face too) : it's a strange expression of love. (and down to more serious topics)
woman : ...now, what we were talking about earlier... we do have inside information that zaphkiel-sama has been imprisoned at the passage in the sky on the fifth heaven Mathey. ...and soon he will be executed by "wing cutting"...
setsuna (eyes wide) : "wing cutting"...?
woman : "wing cutting" is a penalty worse than death, the most cruel punishment to an angel ... in short, is to have their wings cut. our wings, like an antenna, is the medium to change our thoughts into astral power, and at the same time it acts as the immune system against bacteria and virus from the outside. basically without these wings... one cannot use any powers and their body will be invaded by harmful germs in the atmosphere... the body rots in pain... until it turns into an ugly piece of flesh and finally their minds...! it's like a monster who wanders in the decay of life...! (shuddering) ...yes... that's why... we have no time...! but...! there's nothing we can do to help him...!! he... has already predicted the things that would happen...!! and gave us the order with resolve...!

zaphkiel (flashback) : [no one is allowed to disobey that order.]
text : it was almost like as if he wants to punish himself, as if he can't wait to die...
woman (a drop of tear falls on her hand) : ...if it wasn't for that order... we would...! would have gone to save him long ago...!! but then we would have made zaphkiel-sama's will to stay imprisoned worthless...!
setsuna : ...then we'll go save him. since we're not the old man's subordinates or anything, we don't have to follow his orders.
woman : messiah...! but...
setsuna : it's what I owe you for betraying your trust. I don't expect you to believe what I say now... but we will manage this on our own without anymore hesitations. we didn't come here to ask for your help, just thought we'd tell you. (ready to leave) so that's all... since we're in a hurry. I think raziel must be going to zaphkiel already. (while he spoke, a boy came in with tea and snacks, when he heard setsuna is leaving, he quickly put down the plate)
boy : wait... please wait... (hands setsuna a panel) this is map of the passage in the sky!!
setsuna : you are... from that time...! (the boy who he stole the bike from)
boy (smile) : ...I... think because the words the messiah spoke back then was really the truth and that's why it remained in everyone's hearts. ...and even the messiah makes mistakes...! it makes me realize that you are not god but rather something much more close to us. and most importantly, we should believe in you because you are the one that zaphkiel-sama has chosen... (setsuna looks a bit sad)
woman : ...... (seems at peace) ...yes, (stand up) you're right... zaphkiel-sama gave his life because he believes in you even now...
boy : commander...
woman : messiah... we will leave it to you. like I said, we can only help you in a way that does not contradict with the order we've been given. somehow...! somehow please save the one most important to us.
setsuna (smiles) : ...thank you, everyone... i'll do my best.

(suddenly they all look around with funny faces as a really scary laughter is heard, the heh heh heh heh type... -_-)

woman : w, what's that!?
setsuna : i... it's coming from under us...

(all of a sudden, a hatch opens on the floor, and riuet's head pops up)

riuet : AHA!! this is where i make my entrance!!
boy (who was originally standing over that hatch, falls to the side) : WAH!! (sweatdrops)

(riuet leads them to a dock where a vehicle is parked at)

riuet : this is my newest creation, a battle melkaba "fuurinkazan"! (literally wind forest fire mountain) it's short for "quick as the wind, calm as the forest, attacks like the fire, moves like a mountain"----------!! with this thing, we can break into the passage in the sky all in one shot with everyone in high speed transport! excellent!!
setsuna : do you guys know what he's talking about...?
katou (looks up at the big thing in awe) : w... wow---... this midget here made that thing? [so he's not really a hentai?]
woman : riuet-sama use to be an archangel... (angel rank #8, if you forgot) ST of the technological weapon development section. but because he's absorbed into his research like a mad scientist regardless of the disastrous outcome, he's been blacklisted as a danger... right now he is assisting us as "I don't care where I go as long as they agree to use my ingenious inventions"...!
setsuna (thinking) : this really is a dangerous dude------- (leans up to riuet with a friendly face) well whatever, anyway just lend this thing to us!
riuet (blankly) : there is one condition.
arrow (pointing to setsuna who has a sweatdrop) : frozen.
riuet : it's nothing important. (suddenly turn around and point to katou) hey, that punk over there!
katou (vein, vein, vein) : you talking to me!? (vein)
riuet : you sure are a mixture of a lot of different stuff, but originally you should be a dead human spirit. (looks at him with a crooked little smile) but that body of yours... is quite a piece of a replica. it is a intricate biological creation extremely close to organic life form.
setsuna (listening, a bit in awe) : [ohh... uriel's doll was a human formed plant, solidified to mix with mechanics... so is katou the same...]
riuet : pain... nerve ends, everything was recreated perfectly.
setsuna : [from how he changed his face into mine, he could probably transform at will...]
riuet (a big bright smile) : I want to find out how his insides were composed, so, i'll help you if you let me dissect him.

(katou has a BIG wide eye, sweatdrop, stunned face, setsuna on the other hand has a pretty normal innocent look, kira is on the side with a blank look)

setsuna (same innocent, blank face) : sold.
katou (shaking, sweatdrops and vein -_-) : you answered so quickly--------------!?

(next is setsuna, kira and riuet discussing their plans, while katou needs to be held back by the commander from going on another rampage)

setsuna : [but only after the war is over because he's still somewhat useful for now.]
riuet : [damn.]
katou (in the background, screaming) : i'm going to kill you!! i'm going to kill you all!!!
kira (afterwards) : hey, don't take it so seriously.
katou : shut up!! i can't believe I was sold off as a guinea pig!
kira (puts a hand on katou's shoulder with a mischievous smile) : why don't you just make a run for it when the thing's over? you've always been very quick when it comes to running away.
katou (the finger, vein) : I will get you one of these days!

(the gang is hiding in the bushes, observing a man giving orders around a truck/van, riuet has a device that has this man's photo and profile displayed)

riuet : ...good, this guy has been the long term commander of the raqia region.
setsuna : ...what are we doing here? aren't we driving that melkaba all the way in!? (look around) [eh...? senpai disappeared?] (it's just him and riuet now)
riuet : you moron, that's for escaping. the plan is that you sneak in to save zaphkiel and we come to help you in the melbaka.
setsuna (veins, glare) : [when did you become the one who made the plans!?] (vein, vein, thinking) did you say----- moron? (vein)
riuet (gets up from the bushes, holding a cannon) : contact us with the communication device in your ear about the timing. now get ready.
setsuna (before he realizes what's going on) : eh? ...OUCH!! [what the...]
commander (turns around at the noise) : huh?

(when he turns around, he gets sprayed in the face... with something, nothing harmful, just made his face all black ~.~)

commander (glare at setsuna angrily) : y... you bastard----- what do you think you're doing!!
setsuna (multiple sweatdrops) : eh? (look down at his hands which are now holding the cannon that riuet was holding before) ahhhhhh (sweatdrops) AHHH------!?

(there is smoke coming out of from the back of the truck)

guard 1 : d... damn it!! (coughing) what the hell was that...! (behind him in the shadows, stood someone holding a katana)

(another guard heard the sound "uh....")

guard 2 : ? hey, what happened? (came to check it out)
guard 1 (coughing) : ah, it's alright, my throat's just irritated from the smoke.
guard 2 : oh yeah, you sound funny.

(the commander comes over holding setsuna, who's still struggling with some "let go of me")

commander : yo, take this guy to the passage in the sky!! skip the procedures and stuff!! i'll take good care of you when i come back! just you wait. (throws setsuna in along with the other prisoners in the back of the truck)
setsuna (struggling and screaming) : ouch, what the fuck!! can't you watch it----!? senpai and katou, you better remember this! asshole!!
guard 1 (closing the doors of the truck with a little smirk) : I'll remember it, asshole. (he looked up and setsuna saw that it was kira, but the doors slammed shut before he could scream out anything)

(the truck full of prisoners drove on, left behind is the guy who's suppose to be the guard, all tied up and bound together)

katou : ...hm, so what do we do about this guy?
riuet (considering) : dump him in the junk yard?

(at the execution... a holy priest, the bible, scissors...)

priest (with his hand on the bible) : confess your sins, ones who live in this world. show repentance for all your sins before the grace of god. (sound of the scissors, hair falls) this is your last chance to beg the forgiveness of god for your soul, ex-great thrones, zaphkiel.

(zaphkiel is bound, and brought before the priest - some old guy who looks very holy - his hair has been cut to shoulder length)

zaphkiel (smirks) : oh really... what prayers can I possibly speak now... to the god who has already abandoned us so long ago.
sariel (watching the scene on his monitor) : [what a man... (watch zaphkiel be taken away by guards) has there ever been someone so composed in facing the wing cutting. no... is that what he really wants, to die for the path that he has chosen...] (suddenly on another monitor...) !? (sevotharte enters the compound) [the prime minister came to the wing cutting ceremony...!?]
sevotharte : don't make a fuss. there is no need to let zaphkiel know. [so I came here after all, but from now on, nothing will be able to touch my fragile heart anymore... this is the last one. another who knows my past... who threatens my existence will disappear from the world. ...yes. in order to realize my greatest ambition, zaphkiel, your existence must be terminated.]
executioner : begin!! (axe is raised, to cut the rope that holds up the blade)
text (zaphkiel is kneeling in place very calmly) : all the people... those who live in this world, there is nothing that I have left you. (the rope is cut) I have been running away, but it's finally over. my only wish that I continue to hope for, is that the young messiah, and that child whose face I do not know... raziel, that their path of blood will lead them to a bright future----- (sevi sees the blade falling, he turns not to look) ----adam kadmon, will you grant my wish----
zaphkiel (speaks in angel language, with japanese translations, sevi pauses, and slowly turns back) : if this is the path that you have chosen, then see it to the very end, sevotharte. or should I say... Laila.

yukie's note : if anyone is interested in a little bit of side entertainment, then you can go read my blog to see how a certain moron flamed me because i write these yukie's notes and also that I have spelling/grammatical errors in my translations since i don't edit them... (actually the real reason is because i was dissing out setsuna) it's rather funny and i have gotten 2 emails at this point already, although i don't think she realizes that the more she send me, the more i post it, and the more stupid she appears to be. it is quite funny at first but i don't think i'd feel like replying with anything long to a 3rd or 4th email since i'm already busy as hell. that's why i publicized her email so if ppl would like to flame her back, they can do it for me, i have now discovered that a bunch of people on metropolis write very good flames -_-;;;
did i mention that the second email had the subject of "You"... it was too funny... definitely something you can't miss.
the reason for the delay in translation was that... i got obsessed with reading a book and also had a bunch of exams/papers these few weeks x.x

(sariel seems shocked upon hearing that name)

text : LAILA...?

(a woman running along down a long dark hall)

zaphkiel : laila, you don't even know it yourself, do you, laila.
text : but you really loved me.

(a woman struggling to walk, supporting herself on the wall, her dress and stockings are torn and bloody, she's breathing heavily but her eyes are blank)

text : ...laila...
anael (smiling) : [laila, don't mind the scar on your forehead, show everyone your face, you're actually very pretty. laila, my best friend...]
zaphkiel (flashback scene from here on, he cornered laila against a wall) : you're telling me to get away from anael? is it a warning, as from her close friend?
laila (seems scared) : n... no...! stop it...!!
zaphkiel : you don't seem to have realized your feelings, laila.
text : and because you loved me, you also hated me enough to tear me into pieces, right? under the mask of a close friend, you were supressing all of your envy for her, the gentle anael who is always at your side.

(following events... zaphkiel and anael got together, laila ran away)

text : impossible!! i cannot possibly be affected by such foolish emotions. that's right. (but she ran into a group of men) this... can't be happening----

(laila tries to run away, numerous hands come after her, trying to grab her)

sevotharte (holding his head in pain) : stop it! that woman is gone!
guards : prime minister!?
sevotharte : that bitch doesn't exist! none of those filthy things ever happened-----!!

(in the laboratory, a piece of formless flesh being kept in a test tube)

text : then, let it all disappear.

(sevi kneels down in pain, all the people in the room explodes)

text : -----destroy everyone who has ever taken advantage of you-----
sevotharte (slowly calming himself... or not) : hah... hah... (the band on his forehead broke apart, showing a little scar on his forehead) hah... (the blade has fallen, zaphkiel kneels there motionless, his wings have been cut) ahahahah... (covers his face and laughs insanely)
sariel (staring at a snowy blank screen, the camera has been destroyed in the explosion of power as well) : what the hell...!! was that...!

(at the same time, in the prisoner truck, setsuna looks like he was just struck by something)

announcement : we are almost at the passage in the sky.
setsuna (sees a image of the ugly infant monster he saw once before) : [that...!! that nasty feeling just now...!! it's making all my hair standing up and i can't stop shivering, is it... the feeling of "him"...!! (shaking with goosebumps) crap...! nanatsusaya doesn't work on him... but no matter what's waiting for me there, (kira turns around from his head in the front and looks back, setsuna sticks his tongue out at him) I must go save zaphkiel...!]
announcement (driver talking on the comm) : hey you guys, take a good look, cuz that is gonna be the burial ground of the rest of your lives...

(all the prisoners look out their small window, and they see... the chuku kairou, literally a fortress in mid air. it looms over a body of water - the sea of acid, and is surrounded by cliffs and mist on all sides - a dreadful place)

driver : that is the ultimate prison island of impossible escape, the passage in the sky.
setsuna (walking amongst the group of prisoners) : [the largest prison facility in heaven where they kept alexiel's angel crystal...!! now, I have to find zaphkiel and get him out of here fast...!]
guard at the gate (watch the prisoners pass by them) : looks like they've sent us some more scums. they can play cool right now, but soon they will know the true horror of this place.
driver of a truck : hey, that's enough, let me pass already. it takes some time for food transports.
guard at the gate : hey, why are you so business like today, i don't get many chances to talk with people from the outside here, come on, give me your card then. (the driver is acting funny) come on!! give it to me!! (the driver hands over the card, there's writing on it) hm?
writing : "under me, help!"
guard at the gate (leans in to look under the driver's feet) : under? what did you write... (he sees someone, with a cloak and face all covered, hiding under the wheel of the car, with a gun pointed to the driver) !

(at that moment, raziel shoots the driver, pushes him aside, and grabs the wheel)

driver : WAHHHHHH!!
guard at the gate (hits alarm) : INTRUDERS!! all gates lock!! (setsuna's group of prisoners run in all directions)
prisoners : he's coming this way!! RUN!!

(the truck is heading straight for them, raziel suddenly sees setsuna in the group of prisoners, and he immediately turned the wheel and headed in the another direction, the truck breaks through a gate at top speed)

guard (point to the big whole in the gate that raziel made) : h... he broke through!! this is an emergency!! everyone on alert! (setsuna takes the chance to knock the guard down) uh!
kira (calls to setsuna) : setsuna!! this way! (leads setsuna down a patch on the floor)

(so they successfully escaped from the mess, and at the same time infiltrated the prison, now they are in this place that looks like the engine room, and alone)

kira : finally, we won't have been able to get away without that ruckus, now this should do.
setsuna (as kira breaks his cuffs with a laser gun) : that was quite a show. ...it was... probably raziel
kira : probably.
setsuna (a bit shaken, remembers the glare raziel gave him) : i felt so much hatred back then, when i met his eyes... I thought he would have ran me over and killed me...! [that's not the boy i knew...!! right now he would do anything to get what he wants.]

(at this time, all the prisoners in their cells realized something...)

random prisoners (suddenly found their door unlocked, and...) : ...hey... our cuffs are lose...!! the door's electric lock too!! (suddenly the entire island is in chaos, all the locks are open, all the prisoners are lose) let's run!! we're free!!
guard : we're in trouble!! all the security has been jeopardized, the prisoners are starting to run away! they are beating down the guards, doing damage, setting fires... it's a riot here!! (he's yelling to the communicator, his head has a bleeding spot like he's been hit once already, and there's someone behind him holding up a stick) quick... send backup quick!! AHHHHHHHH!! (and that's the end of him)

(when setsuna and kira got to the control room, they found a mess, all the guards there were knocked out and all the monitors blank)

kira : all the security has been cancelled...!!
setsuna (looks around) : what a kid...!! he destroyed the entire computer network system. so looks like he's the sharp and dangerous type.
kira : everyone here... is unconscious...!!
setsuna (grab a gun) : we must hurry to the lowest level!! we can't lose a second in this...!

(down in the lowest levels... where zaphkiel is chained up...)

zaphkiel (incoherent moans) : uh... uhhh... ahhh-----

(freaky scream comes from the room, zaphkiel broke free from the chains around his wrist)

guard (rushes to sariel) : commander sarial!!
sariel : don't panic, back up will be here soon. even if they escape from the passage, they can't reach the outside. they will fall into the sea of acid and die.
guard (stuttering) : t... then where are you going, commander sarial!!
sariel (gets dressed, and loads a gun) : I am going to welcome our guests, ...downstairs.

(on the lower levels, setsuna and kira climbs out from the air duct)

kira (examines the map) : we're almost there... deep side is the special room where zaphkiel is kept.
setsuna (looks around unsurely) : it's unusually quiet... as if the ruckus up there is all fake...! and... what's this strange smell...
kira (sniff) : this is...! (eyes narrow) [corpse stench...!!!]
setsuna : !

(they entered the next room, and it's a room full of torn corpses, body parts smeared all over the place, remind me next time not to translate these gory parts while eating ice cream)

setsuna : t... they are all raziel's...!?
kira : no, they are clearly different from what we've seen until now... it looks like they were trying to gorge each other down... and these people... they started rotting from the inside...!
setsuna (cover his mouth in horror) : [these people... they can't be... prisoners... of wing cutting...!?]

(suddenly one of these disgusting things that are still alive tried to grab setsuna from behind, but he was shot down before he touched setsuna)

setsuna : ! (fell on the ground along with the dead thing) wha... (the gun then in turn was pointed at him)
raziel (the owner of the gun) : ... what did you come here for, messiah. (very coldly, with a deadly aura surrounding him)
setsuna : [raziel...!!] (slowly getting up) I came to help zaphkiel... and welcome you back as a comrade.
raziel : don't make me laugh!! I wonder whose fault it is that all this happened!
setsuna : i understand...

(raziel opens the door and looks in the room, eyes wide in horror, inside is someone bending on down the floor, chewing on the corpses around him)

raziel (horrified) : z...aph...kiel... sama...?
text : -----and becomes-----

(zaphkiel's body has already began the decay process, his eyes seem blank, and he's down on the ground, licking the blood of the corpses)

text : -----a monster who wanders in the decay of life-----
raziel (beyond horrified) : a... ahh...hhhh...! (falls to his knees)
setsuna (comes in behind him) : that's... zaphkiel......!? [we're too late...!! his body has started decaying...!!]
raziel : how... how... could this happen...!! zaphkiel-sama...!! how could...! (zaphkiel is leaning against the wall, chewing on somebody's skull, raziel slowly approach him in tears) do you... recognize me...? zaphkiel-sama...! (he must really be suffering) let's go back together...! to our friends... everything will surely be alright...!! we'll have you recover... somehow...! zaphkiel-sama...!!

(he leans down and hugs zaphkiel who looks expressionless, suddenly, zaphkiel jumped up, grabbed raziel's arm and bit hard into his shoulder)

raziel (runs up to him) : ZAPHKIEL-SAMA----------------!!!

(elsewhere, sara and moonliel hears some strange sounds...)

moonliel (holding a plate of tea) : kyahh!! (almost dropped it) w... what was that? it came from the direction of the passage in the sky...
sara (looks out the window) : it's the alarm...! someone has escaped.
moonliel : how can that be, i heard that it's impossible to escape from the passage in the sky! [it's already been a few thousand years without a single case of successful escape...]
sara (gaze out intensely) : [that's where zaphkiel-san is being held, it can't be...!!]

(in the chaos, people are just grabbing what they can)

guards : the arms storage... has been broken in to!! it's a riot!! the prisoners are taking the weapons------!

(from the outside, the place looks like it's smoking)

riuet (watching from far away) : damn... it's a huge riot completely out of our calculations.
katou (grabs the binoculars from riuet) : gimme that! (looks) u---------h... (sweatdrops)
riuet : well whatever, i don't get anything for working anyway, why don't I just go back to my experiments.
katou (yells) : what the hell, you fucking asshole!! let's get going!
riuet (looks very relaxed) : it's useless to go in anyway, since that unexpected riot broke out and we haven't had contact with them.
katou (glare) : [huh?] ...and your point~~~~~? so we're just gonna watch them get killed!!? they are...
riuet (continues for him) : your most important friends, right? (apparently no one listened to him... in a bright flash of light...... the scene fades out, the ground where setsuna is standing on and the walls around him are all cracking)

setsuna : w... what the hell!! the earthquake... and the sound of the alarm has also changed! raziel!! enough already...
raziel (zaphkiel is biting on his shoulder) : ah...!! don't...! don't shoot...!! (setsuna turns around and sees kira holding out his gun)
kira (holds back his gun) : ......!

(suddenly, something shoots past kira and stabs zaphkiel in the back)

zaphkiel : AHHHHHHH (lets go of raziel)
raziel : ! (another person has come in the room)
sariel (appears at the door) : the poisonous virus on the sword (which he threw at zaphkiel) will cause the rotten cells to contract, he will die soon even if you manage to get him back in one piece. (holds a gun at them) don't move! a pleasure to meet you... "uninvited guests"... I am the supreme commander of chuku kairo, great principalities sariel. (the alarm sounds in the background) you know this alarm, it's the alarm of a level three emergency. it looks like the inmates destroyed even the control room. soon the passage in the sky will fall into the strong acid see and vanish completely.
setsuna : w... what!? (raziel's looking over zaphkiel on the ground)
sariel : ...ah, it's you, whom they call the messiah. no need to worry. only this island is sinking, because the lone tower palace where jibrille-sama is kept is on a floating island away from here.
setsuna : [jibrille...!! sara... sara is being imprisoned near by...!? what the...!!]
raziel : ...!

(suddenly, an angel rush in)

angel : commander sariel!! we can't last any longer, please evacuate with the last ship!

sariel : it's better to die than to live in disgrace. the decay has just about reached his mind, his fate has a ghoul is sealed. the ghouls are all people who tries to escape the pain and loss of losing their wings.
setsuna (cover his mouth in horro) : [the ghouls...!? end up like those angels with their wings cut in hades...!!]
sariel : they continue to roam my devouring the life of others to pease the thirst and hunger in their hearts. (look at zaphkiel, crouched on the ground) he is already... doesn't see anything besides food... in any other life forms.
text : must eat... (raziel looks at zaphkiel wide eyed) to escape this terrible pain... i want to eat... flesh... brains... (hand reach out) flesh... raziel : and in training school, when I used that power... I was taken to the government research center called white room and because their specimen. text (raziel stands there with tears and a slight smile) : a child's flesh...! I must eat it...!! I must... (zaphkiel grabs raziel's head and looked like he was about to bite)

(raziel stood with his eyes closed, waiting... and suddenly the moment zaphkiel placed his hands on raziel's cheeks, he froze)

text : may I... touch your face...?

(a loud bang, the room around them is collapsing, bricks from the ceiling falling down...)

angel : wahhh!! it's no good!! (grabs sariel) the place is collapsing, sariel-sama, quick...!
setsuna (catches them offguard) : [now's my chance!!] (pulls out nanatsusaya pendent) sariel...!! (slash)

(he missed sariel, but the patch over one of his eyes broke off)

setsuna : uh...!
angel (scared) : sa... sariel-sama's... eye patch is...!!

(sariel lets go of the hand that covered it and the eye is glowing, everyone freezes.)

setsuna (shock) : [what... what's happening!!? my body... my body can't move!!]
sariel : for the longest time, I've hated this power... but finally I must accept it to co-exist with me. ...this evil eye!
angel (fall down) : ah...! (dies under sariel's gaze) uwahhhhh...!!
setsuna : !
sariel : the weak minded ones would die...!
setsuna : [m... my face can't even shift!! what an unbelievable power!! I can't even remove my eyes from the light in his pupil---!!]
sariel (take out his gun) : and I can also control others at freewill... your fate has been decided the moment you gazed into my eye.
kira : I'm not so sure about that!

(kira stands behind sariel and places the katana at his neck)

kira (smirk) : it looks like your power has no effect on me, doesn't it?
sariel (turn around) : no effect...!? (stunned) ah...! that face...!! it can't be...! so the "uninvited guests" of michael-sama, that rociel-sama mentioned, was referring to you!!
setsuna : [michael...!?]
kira (a bit unlike himself) : I don't know what the hell you are talking about! (slash)

(his sword is suddenly blocked by setsuna and nanatsusaya, and sariel standing in the background)

kira : !? I... I see!! you are being controlled by sariel...!
setsuna : [damn it... my body...!! it's moving on its own...!!!]
sariel (his evil eye glows) : this was not my original intent, but since the opponent is you, I have no other choice. messiah... (the glow in his eyes brightens) kill that man!

(setsuna and kira facing each other. they both don't know what to do)

kira : [setsuna...!! damn you moron...]
setsuna (grabs the sword) : [my hands... my hands...!!] uh... [they are moving...!!!] (attacks kira while screaming) STOOOOPPP THISSSS!!

(suddenly, a very pointing piece of wood/stick stabs through sariel's head. from the back and coming out on the other end with a lot of blood through his evil eye)

sariel (shock) : ...?... (a shadow behind him) im... impossible... you shouldn't be able to... move... (blood splatter on the wall in front of him) ...why... why doesn't my evil eye... affect you...? (setsuna watches in shock, the hand behind sariel pulls out the stick) that's right... (falls in slow motion) your... eyes...!

(zaphkiel stands coldly over sariel's body, holding the bloody stick in one hand)

sariel : cannot see...!
