Volume 11 Chapter 1 : Demon VI (Retreat)
fuuko : come out, fuujin chan!!!
(fuujin appears, kashamaru and tsukishiro looks quite lost.)
tsukishiro (immediately raises hand) : teacher, question!! even a smart guy like me don't get it... what is that!?

domon : ...... ho... how is that possible!!?
(grabs magensha's cape, it rips, he's practically transparent. there's no one under that cape)

(and he turns cold as he sees fuujin disappearing) [that was...!?]

(and fuuko stands right in front of him)

(fuuko slashes him several times with the wind claws)

(suddenly magensha's transported to the arena, , looks like he suddenly materialized)

audience : huh!? he suddenly appeared!!! some kind of trick!!?
saicho : [that is... the real magensha!!]
magensha : [im... impossible... (turn and look at his mask) my madougu, jigen kaigyoku... cracked!!?]
(on the tip of his mask there's small crystal with cracks on it)
magensha : [back then... when I was attacked by hanabishi recca, jigen kaigyoku was cracked!!? so that caused the crack in the majigen, got caught by those people... and... and...]
domon (crack knuckle) : what was that, I knew my logic was right.
magensha : nooooo way---!!!
domon : this is hanabishi's move.
(he does a super dramatic punch and magensha just flies off...)

yukie's note : vol 11 is also one of my favorites. raiha has a little interesting scene in here, but that's not the point. for those who knows the story or saw the anime, I think you know who J is, that mysterious member of the uruha jyushinshuu who supposedly appears in the next chapter titled "J" and has a very big part in two of the later chapters in this vol. he is really really cool and he is my second favorite character in recca. oh and for those people who only saw the anime, the next chapter is really not what happened in the anime. we are approaching the point where the anime really deviated from the manga. from now on, you will find many, many thing that's so different from the anime. I would call the fight with magensha the threshold of where the anime almost completely left the manga. even though some of the final round fights are somewhat similar.

Volume 11 Chapter 2 : J
(domon beats up magensha utterly and completely. umi goes over and checks him out)
umi : ...... uh... magensha KO!! hokage entered the finals!!
audience : how come--!!? hokage won unexpectedly--!!? and the decisive fight was-- that gorilla!! I don't believe this...... the opponent was that magensha... unexpectedly strong performance from domon!!
domon : hmph. heheh...
arrow (point at domon) : listening.
domon (starry looking) : [they're complimenting me! the one who holds hokage's fate! the one who leads the way!! ah ah...... me! me!! (he looks so happy and proud *sigh*) I am magnificent now.] ahhhhhhhhhhhh
fuuko (kick his butt from behind) : hmph-- shut up already!!
(domon looks up dumbly)
domon : fuuko!! (hug and squeeze her) it's not a dream!? MY HONEY!!! hey!! I can't breath, idiot!! you make me sound like a ghost.
kagero (funny look) : [wow, bold move.]
fuuko (finally got out) : there.
domon (super happy) : did you see me, fuuko!!? I totally killed magensha!! I didn't know he was that easy!!
fuuko : ...... (think) he looks so happy... well, never mind then.
text : domon doesn't know-- the magesha he was fighting was a fake. the real thing hidden in the majigen was dragged out by fuuko. and... fuuko also doesn't know.
kaoru (running with tokiya) : hey, yanagi chan is in danger for real, mikagami!? so how is she in danger!! (mikagami pause, kaoru shakes his arm) [hey, hey, what is it]
tokiya : no... don't worry anymore......
(they see yanagi sitting on the ground in the forest and recca sleeping soundly on her lap)
text : fuuko doesn't know. she was able to find magesha through the crack in majigen-- was because magesha's madougu, jigen kaigyoku was cracked... this is the guy who did it. recca who was fighting "to save his princess", and all this resulted in domon's victory. of course, domon's persistence is also one of the reasons. one who abandons his teammates, and the other who values them... in time that counts, the side of justice always has the advantages.
gashakura : hokage... we completely lost. actually, I never thought we would lose.
fuuko : gashakura...
gashakura : but, I'm really glad! it's an honor to have been able to fight you, fuuko!!
fuuko (a little hesitant) : um... but, really, I don't think so. the result was I borrowed fuujin-chan's power to beat you...

(everyone is shocked at the sight of the giant J-kipa)
audience : ...w...hat!!? who's that!!? is he even human!!? he's uruha kurenai's last member!!?
kashamaru (trembling) : tsukishiro... do you know him...?
tsukishiro : well...
gashakura : bigger than me... what is he!?
kurei : come here. magensha--
magensha (terrified) : m... me......!!? AH!!!
(suddenly gets grabbed by J - kipa)
magensha : UHHHHHHH
J - kipa : didn't you hear kurei-sama's order!
gashakura : bother!!
magensha : w... why!? kurei-sama!! is this because I lose!!?
gashakura : kurei-sama!! it's true that we lost, but that's not brother's responsibility alone!! punish us all if you must!!

(J - kipa holds up the sharp edge of his staff/weapon and in a very bloody move, J - kipa chops magensha into pieces, and blood splash everywhere)
J - kipa (make a cross) : good night.
audience (quite disgusted by the scene) : ah... ah... too cruel... uhhh
domon (grossed) : he calls this a pleasant enjoyment... how disgusting!!
gashakura : brother!! brotherrrrr!!
kurei : heheh... [but mori koran... do you really think everyone else is this foolish......]
tokiya : everyone was shocked instantly--- does he plan to revive the reign of terror of robespierre?
note : the politician who executed all his opposing forces after the french revolution.
(kaoru and tokiya made it back in time to catch that scene)

(but kurei blocks him, in all the silence, he walks towards recca.)
kagero : [kurei...... recca......!!]
(they stand so close, and suddenly wings of flame grows out from kurei's back and recca summons saiha on his arm. their flames clash, makes a whole circle around them and explodes.)
audience : w... what!? the ground between them exploded!!
joker : that was... the clashing of their powers. after the their flames met, the two opposing forces have no where to go except the ground...... [what amazing strength......]
recca (suddenly falls) : uh...
kurei : recca... so that's your flame, one of the eight flame dragons, saiha? that was my first impression... doesn't really meet my expectations.
recca (pissed off, veins) : ...... what~~~!?
kagero (turn around and sees yanagi) : yanagi chan...
kurei (leaving) : anyway, it's pretty impressive that you made it this far-- I'm in a good mood... end of the execution.
recca : KUREI!! (kurei stops, recca gives him the finger) I'm gonna win. even in this stupid tournament, I'll beat you!! princess will be alright!!
(kurei looks at him and disappears, J - kipa disappears too. now recca falls down and pass out)
recca : eww.
fuuko : he's been poisoned...
domon : Ah!! he collapsed!!
hokage : kashamaru! hand over the antidote.

hokage : hey, hang in there.
text : the semi-finals -- hokage shatters their strong opponent uruha ma.
kurei (walking alone) : ...... (reach to around his waist) [so...... eight dragons...] (there's blood on his hand) heheh... hahahahah... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
text : in the third ura butou satsujin -- 64 teams contested. after days of competition only two teams remain. HOKAGE AND URUHA KUREINAI---

text : two days before the finals...hotel 6F hallway 11:28 AM
(kagero walking alone, suddenly there's an old man in happy face shirt and sun glasses appearing before her)
old man : hey-- that lady with the shopping bag!
kagero : ...... me?
old man : that's right, heheh. what a pretty girl.
kagero (giggle) : no way, mister. I'm not a girl... even my son's 61 now.
old man (Shock) : what!! what a young mama-san~~~! ... by the way, does mama-san know the hokage? where are they now?
kagero : huh? I saw koganei kun in the lobby...
(the old man zoom, and flies by while flipping up her dress, what a pervert...)

(lights turn on, and everyone's shocked at the sight of the final ring, it's a piece of circular rock which is surrounded by a bottomless pit on all sides, which basically means you fall out, you die... it's supported by one colume/poll on the bottom center... think of those circus tricks with a plate flat on a chopstick... ^^;;)

tsukishiro : the hokage has faced three uruha teams including us! but they all consisted of one jyushinshuu and a few soldiers... but uruha kurenai is different!! kurei sama acts as the center, with four other jyushin!! even I don't know how strong they really are... I predict...... the hokage will be in hell!!

audience : one person came forward. is that uruha kurenai's senpou *first fighter* !? don't know, they didn't publish a list for the order of the members for this round! look at the pamphlet, who's that? uh... here! some woman named mikoto.
mikoto : hanabishi recca---- kurei sama won't be coming today. what a pity... hohohoho.......

recca : what's he up to!! answer me!!!
mikoto : hohohoho... because kurei-sama doesn't have the need to show up. uruha kurenai senpou noroi!! (introduces a new buff looking guy in a mask) this man alone will send all of you to hell.
text : noroi --record in this tournament-- 5 out of 5 perfect, all opponents terminated, except the drop out raiha. (^.^ raiha-kun is stronger of course...)
audience (shock) : noroi...!!! I know him!! that's the guy who defeated all the opponents last time and won! then... that saakasu the hokage met in round four...... oh... he's the one who killed that female member of saakasu! how cruel......
recca (very, very pissed off) : ...so that bastard kurei's saying that we're not good enough for him... you bitch... (shaking with rage) I'll k---
(gets pushed aside by domon)
domon (even more pissed off) : WHAT DID YOU SAY. don't underestimate us!!! we also got here with a lot of difficulties!! we're not here to get screwed!!! why's that!? we've got a pile of reasons!! we won't lose!! we'll have wasted all of our time if we don't win!!! (swing kuchibashi) no need to appear!? (jump into the ring)
hokage : domon!!
domon : get down here, noroi!! I'll show you the hokage's true power!!! (noroi jump down)

fuuko : unforgivable... we risk our lives just to be treated like idiots... just let him take care these kurei's underlings! he's also one of the hokage ninja force!!
(domon shall face noroi in the first match of the final round)
aki : ---I don't get it, kukai! why are we naïve!!
kukai : ...from the beginning we only thought recca stands out from the rest of the team... because he can control his eight dragons...... but, now I think we're wrong. ensui no mikagami tokiya--- fuujin's master kirisawa fuuko--- kougon anki no koganei kaoru--- all of them matured in front of our eyes after each battle! even though they're just one man in the team, they can definitely rival a jyushin. didn't your master lose to mikagami-kun?

kukai : each against one of the jyushin!! it's not impossible for the hokage. now they've become as strong as the level of the jyushinshuu!! (only some of them... don't forget raiha-kun ^.^;; I'm so biased...) ishijima domon...!! actually, he improved the most out of the five! domon use to be the burden of the hokage... now he's become a man who carries their name with pride!!
tsukishiro : that's right, aki lost to domon.
aki (about to beat him up) : shut up you narcissist!!!
kukai : as for the results--- we really can't tell......
(the final round is about to start, menou sitting with her father, raiha stands somewhere unnoticeable on the side, gashakura, and kashamaru mixed in among the rest of the audience, neon and kagero also on the side, the old man's there too...)

mikoto : did you think kurei sama will come if you beat noroi...? maybe you're right, but you forgot one thing. if kurei-sama really trust this noroi... it won't be very easy...

yukie's note : damn... I thought this chapter is MAD LONG!!! or am I just getting more and more impatient... I guess this is the beginning of the end of the tournament... but don't worry, the finals will be taking up 5 volumes altogether, from vol 12 to 16... and knowing that the most recent story is up to vol 22, isn't not even close to the end... and for all of you who thinks flame of recca is ending anytime soon because you saw images from the final battle or something... there's still a long way to go... the story just took a whole new development in plot...
