X The Limit (KEKKAI III)

(yuzuriha creates a kekkai around her, kamui feeling the presence of a kekkai, looks out the window)

kamui : [it's a kekkai, the "seven seals", a sky dragon's kekkai!] (he concentrates hard and sees yuzuriha) YUZURIHA!!

(meanwhile, inside the kekkai, all is quiet)

yuzuriha (looks around) : [where are you!? the one who is responsible for this earthquake! where are you!?]

(in the basement, beast's screen displays yuzuriha's determined face, and labels her one of the seven seals)

satsuki (inside beast) : ...so it's one of the seven seals. shall we talk to her for a bit, beast?

(wires suddenly flies out all over the place and surround yuzuriha, inuki jumps up from behind her and transforms into a sword and she cuts down satsuki's first wave of attack, satsuki smiles, meanwhile, not far away, the building that kamui and daisuke are in is also affected, with broken window glass all over the place, which makes me wonder if clamp made a mistake cuz they are fighting inside a kekkai and it's not suppose to affect the outside world)

kamui (no time to waste) : take care of him! (meaning the old man, to daisuke, and he jumps out the window)
daisuke (calling after him) : KAMUI! (too late...)
yuzuriha (meanwhile getting impatient) : don't hide and come out! inside this kekkai only the sky dragons or land dragons may enter, therefore you need not hold back! (a sudden surge of wires and they seem to be digging at a large screen on the walls of a building) what!? (the wires pulls off the screen, and now connected, satsuki appears) so you are the one!?
satsuki : yes. the seven angels, (takes off her visual headset so she sees yuzuriha face to face) or else... known as one of the dragons of earth.
yuzuriha (sometimes she reminds me of amelia) : why are you doing this!? what do you want from destroying buildings and causing earthquakes!?
satsuki : why can't we invoke earthquakes?
yuzuriha (like it's the simplest thing) : because it will make people get hurt and some will even die! like right now! someone may be hurt! someone may be dead! why do you do such things when you know that!?
satsuki (still very mechanically) : before i answer that question, i have one question that i want to ask you. why can't we kill humans?
yuzuriha (just beginning to speak) : what do you mean why...!
satsuki : humans have killed so many animals. trees, grass, flowers, and continues to kill them as they do not realize. why? because they cannot communicate? because their intelligence is low? then is it alright to kill a living thing that one cannot communicate with and has lower intelligence?
yuzuriha (quite stunned by her theory) : no...!
satsuki (doesn't let her finish, or else, yuzuriha doesn't really know what to say) : no? then have you lived until now without taking another life? you don't eat meat? aren't vegetation alive? walking on the street, you have never steped on insignificant insects? (yuzuriha is trembling and really struggling with herself) animals beside humans kill other living things in order to eat them, in order to survive. but men are different, they can kill their own or any other living thing just because it is troubling them.
yuzuriha (desperately trying to justify this) : not everyone is like that...!
satsuki : oh yes, but it is a fact that even people not like such have killed something. therefore why is men the only ones who cannot be killed? because humans are stronger than other living things? then, is it alright for someone even stronger to kill humans? i'll ask you once again, (start typing on keyboard, and the targeting system zooms on yuzuriha) why can't we kill humans?

(all the wires jump out and attacks yuzuriha who is completely unprepared and unable to defend herself, inuki jumped out in front of her and protected her, but he was completely hit)

yuzuriha : INUKI! (it falls to the ground, yuzuriha hugs him tightly) inuki! inuki!

(inuki begins to fade, it looks up at yuzuriha's tearful face, in a touching moment, it licks away the tears on her cheek and then fades away in her arms)

yuzuriha : ......inuki...! (inuki fades into smoke) ......no...... ......inuki......! don't go...!

(the screen blanks out, and beast is programmed for destruction. but suddenly, someone *prince on white horse* comes to save the princess)

kusanagi (carries yuzuriha away from the danger area, she's passed out) : hang in there!
yuzuriha (losing consciousness) : ......inuki......

(and she pass out completely, kusanagi looks at her quite caringly *_* and she has passed out with tears still on her cheeks. her kekkai begins to fail)

kamui (not far away, sees the kekkai collapse) : the kekkai...!
fuuma (flashback) : when a kekkai is broken, it means that sky dragon is approaching death.
kamui : YUZURIHA!! (remembers the finger hook, meanwhile, since the kekkai broke, people are all running for their lives in the real world from the falling debris, kamui squeezing between them) yuzuriha!! YUZURIHA!! (but of course there is no answer, meanwhile, in the hotel)
doctors (running in quickly) : mr. president! are you hurt!?
toujou motoharu : i'm alright...
daisuke (sees the explosion outside the window and he jumps out too, telling the rest of the people) : it's dangerous here too! evacuate quickly! (looking towards the direction of the explosions again) it's the work of the land dragons!
someone (suddenly walks out of the shadows behind him) : not plural... it was only one.
daisuke (turns around alarmed) : who's there!?
fuuma (stands casually before him) : i believe we have met once before.
daisuke (thinks hard and finally remembers) : you are kamui of the dragons of earth!?
fuuma : so you think the princess dreamgazer under the parliament house... ...is the one you treasure the most? (daisuke seems surprised) to protect the dreamgazer named hinoto, that is your "wish".
daisuke : ...how do you...?
fuuma : i know, not only your wish, because i am "kamui", "the one who hunts the majesty of god".

(kamui comes back after failing to find yuzuriha)

kamui : saiki! i can't find yuzuriha anywhere! (no answer) saiki! sa... (his eyes widen, the walls and ground splattered with blood, daisuke's decapitated head falls before his feet. there are no words to describe his shock well enough, suddenly, something drips on his face, kamui touched it with his finger and saw that it was blood, and then the remainder of daisuke's body fell from the platform above)

fuuma (above) : you're late. (his hand is bloody) it is all over now.
kamui (kneels next to daisuke's head) : sa... ...i... ...ki (trembling with rage and explodes with power) AHHHHHHHH (another huge explosion, on the roof of their building, this time caused by kamui himself, not far off, arashi and sorata are rushing that way)
sorata : is it kamui!?
arashi : the kekkai that appeared in shinjuku belonged to yuzuriha-san...! and if it collapsed, that means...!
sorata (more forcefully, grab arashi's hand) : both yuzuriha-chan and kamui are alright! we must believe in them!
arashi (affected by his forcefulness) : y... yes!
sorata : let's go!!

(meanwhile kamui angrily attacks fuuma, i won't describe how angry he is, i believe you get the idea. and fuuma doesn't even move and calmly endure the attack as kamui's hand digs into his chest... blood... kamui is really surprised that fuuma didn't dodge)

kamui : ah...!
fuuma (has a pretty wicked smile ^^ and takes kamui's bloody hand) : isn't this where you are suppose to aim? (place kamui's hand over his heart, apparently, kamui in all his wrath and sorrow... only aimed at fuuma's shoulder T.T) what's wrong? if you break this, i will die. (*rings siren* shounen-ai alert!! shounen-ai alert!! ;_;)
kamui (couldn't stand fuuma's soft tone and breaks down ;_;) : fuuma... (clutching on his shirt) why...! why...! (he seems to be saying that a lot lately... and uh... super shounen-ai alert for the following scene T.T fuuma has his arm around kamui and lifts his chin and licks the tears on his cheek) it's your long awaited chance, kamui.

(kamui kinda has this blank look in his eyes, as if overwhelmed by sorrow and withdrawn, fuuma blasts kamui against a wall, kamui seems badly hurt, the bandages around his arms comes free at fuuma's bidding and binds him)

fuuma : if you want to kill me, come seriously. (place his hand on kamui's heart) ...this is the heart. (leans over kamui, more shounen-ai alert!) shall I dig it out... and eat it. (poor kamui offers absolutely no resistance ;_; but somebody arrives on the scene)
sorata : that's no good.
fuuma (looks up) : ...sky dragons? (sorata and arashi, just on time)
sorata : kamui is still a kid, it's useless doing adult talk with him.
fuuma (touches kamui's lips) : ...but i think that would give "kamui" the most happiness. (arashi seesm confused... meanwhile, I am wondering what exactly it is what kamui is secretly wishing that makes fuuma unable to turn back T.T sorata puts up a kekkai) give it up, it's already too late.

(waves of earthquakes runs through entire districts of tokyo, computer screen beeps)

arashi : the buildings in shinjuku!!
sorata : the buildings in that area is the kekkai foundation of shinjuku! if they all fell...!!

(a thunderous dragon looms over the city, and wherever it passed through, lightning struck and earthquakes blasted through)

fuuma (leaving) : get him out of here soon. (aww, he still remembers kamui even before he goes)
sorata : WAIT! (fuuma's gone already)
arashi : we must get kamui out of here quickly!
sorata (carries kamui, who is almost passed out) : hang in there! KAMUI!! (kamui continues to cough up blood)
arashi : his ribs are probably broken! watch it!

(meanwhile... four more pages describing how the buildings in shinjuku collapsed, totally and completely, the wave of earthquakes through shinjuku is in the pattern of sephira, back inside beast, the diagram of sephira is completed)

satsuki : ...completed. (yuuto is standing under beast and catches her when she jumps out)
yuuto (smile) : what a difficult question. "why can't we kill humans?" that poor dragon of heaven girl couldn't answer and looked like she was going to cry.
satsuki (puts on her glasses) : i simply wanted to ask her. from a moral point of view, a conceptional point of view, or a biological point of view, there are many possible answers. but... none of them are perfect. (suddenly the thought came to her) what do you think, yuuto-san? (yuuto seems a bit surprised that she's asking him) why is it wrong to kill humans?
yuuto (smiles) : that would be, because "someone will be sad."

(satsuki has a quite stunned look on her face and while the rest of shinjuku collapse, yuuto escorts her out of the room, beast's screen, unknowingly zooms on them and focuses on yuuto's face, which is always that ^^ smile, and makes a series of beeps with a mind of its own... elsewhere - hinoto's dream world)

hinoto : saiki-dono...... ...how...... so very... terrible...! (crying)
kakyou (appears) : but haven't you known that all along? haven't you known that it would be like this? (conjures up an image around them, hinoto only cries)

(in the scene, fuuma attacked daisuke, and hinoto crying out worried from her dream world, she tries to draw daisuke into her dream world)

fuuma : i believe this is the work of the princess dreamgazer, she plans to take you back. (easily blasts apart hinoto's aura)
hinoto (in pain) : AHHHHH (desperately chanting a spell and sending her aura out)
fuuma : now if I break this, your beloved princess will also be torn apart.
daisuke (struggles up) : STO...P! (feebly attacks fuuma who shrugs it off) it is your wish to give your life protecting hinoto, to die protecting hinoto. (hand reaching out to daisuke) I shall grant your wish.
hinoto (screams) : SAIKI-DONO!!! (blood) STOP IT!!
kakyou (the images melts away) : ...and so he died, just as you have dreamt.
hinoto (in tears) : ...even so, i still wanted to save saiki-dono...!
kakyou : the future has already been decided. no matter how you struggle, ...it will not change.
hinoto : even so...! even if that is so, I still cannot stop to wish!! for a different future!!
kakyou : ...however, kamui of the dragon of heaven cannot win over kamui of the dragon of earth. as long as he does not abandon the wish that even he himself has not realized...

(he fades away, hinoto wakes up)

hien & souhi (runs over worried) : princess! is something wrong!?

karen : another kekkai has fallen... (doorbell rings, goes to open the door) sorry I called you out.
seiichirou (enters) : no, sorry I'm late.
karen : please sit. (seiichirou sits down on the couch, notice a teddy bear and picks it up, karen comes back with tea) are you fine with red tea?
seiichirou : yes. (karen pause a bit when she saw that he's holding the teddy bear) oh... should I not have touched that?
karen : oh no. (they turn to look at the TV)
seiichirou : ...that's shinjuku.

karen : what about yuzuriha-chan?

seiichirou : princess hinoto felt it in her dream... with shinjuku in such a condition, there's no way to identify his body. I really... think so too.

(both seiichirou and karen jumps up)

seiichirou : the dragons of earth...!
karen : it's the seven angels. (seiichirou rushes out, karen holds up the cup of tea) what about your tea?
seiichirou : huh? (quickly gulp down the tea, gives her back the cup and goes again) thank you!
karen (steps in his way) : oh no. you have a wife and an adorable child. kamui and the others seals are all still young. therefore, I should go. there is no one who would cry for me.
seiichirou (stunned) : that's...
karen : there are none, really. (and she glances at the teddy bear on the couch for a moment and closed her eyes, a series of flashbacks, a young girl holding a teddybear, a woman beating her up fiercely...) therefore, please don't do anything until I die. (smiles) that is what I wanted to say.
seiichirou (obviously don't know what to say) : do you think I would answer "alright"?
karen : no i didn't. therefore i added a little something to your tea. (she smiles and his vision starts to get blurry)
seiichirou :karen-sa... (and he falls to the floor)
karen (sets the teddy bear next to seiichirou) : watch over aoki-san, ok? (walks out) until aoki-san wakes up and sorata-kun and the rest get here, i wil take care of it.

(as she moves through tokyo, there were flashes of the face of a young girl crying, being beaten by her mother... at the train station, nataku was basically behind this one and blowing everyone away)

karen (standing on the roof of a near by building) : this is as far as you go.
nataku (looks up) : ...so you are one of the "seven seals".
karen : why are you doing this?
nataku (attacks her) : because "kamui" wishes it.
karen : !? (dodges all his attacks but her dress is wripped) impatience is loathsome. (put her hands together and prays, a kekkai in the form of a cross grows out from her palms and covers the entire station) now then, we can take our time, just the two of us.

(and they fight, karen blasts fire at nataku, in general she seems to be stronger and has him cornered)

karen (look at nataku who's down on the ground, suffering from burns) : you don't want to die right? and all the people who were crushed under the train you broke off thinks the same. that's why you shouldn't do such things anymore...
nataku (looks up plain and honestly) : why do they not want to die? (karen is obviously surprised) I don't have such emotions.

(while she is surprised, he jumps up and attacks her, but she blasts him back again)

(suddenly she looks up and a wave of water floods the station, when it's gone, someone walks up to nataku casually)

yuuto : it's embarrasing but I am called that, (scratch his head and smile, how very yuuto-ish) for now at least.
karen (those two should go into acting, seriously) : oh it's all wet, (fiddling with her hair) and the make-up was washed off.
yuuto (smile) : you are more beautiful without it.
karen : thank you.
yuuto (streams of water circling around him) : i haven't used water magic in such a long time that it's tiresome, I'm getting old already.
karen (the "uso!" look) : oh really? but you are still young.
yuuto (^^) : I only appear to be young. therefore, if possible, I hope to avoid using energy as much as I can. would you break the kekkai?
karen (considers with a cute face) : can you promise not to destroy anymore of this place?

(and their fire and water collides again, but suddenly, there was wind between them...)

karen (looks up in shock) : AOKI-SAN!? (who was of course responsible, although he fell to the ground quickly and didn't look too good *duh*, she ran to him) what are you doing here!?
yuuto (smiles slightly) : since he came into the kekkai, he must be one of the seven seals, although he doesn't seem to be feeling very well. it's tough but we both have companions to take care of. being off track this much shouldn't affect the yamanode line as a whole. how about we wrap it up today and call it a day?
karen : ...alright. (retrieves her kekkai, world back to normal) if you decide to reck some place next time, just call on me. (yuuto smiles and carries nataku out of there, vanishing into the crowd like all the other ppl who were hurt, meanwhile karen tends to seiichirou) if you drank that drug, it should keep you asleep for 4 hours. how did you come here... (and suddenly looks shocked) you...!
seiichirou (one of his legs is bleeding) : ...i just couldn't... keep my eyes open... so i borrowed... the fruit knife... in your room...
karen (tears up her dress to address his wound) : why did you do that! your wife will be worried!
seiichirou : that... should be my line... did you seriously think... that if you die, no one would cry for you...? (grab her hand and almost looked like he was angry with her) I... will cry for you. I don't get angry very easily but... if... you think of going off alone like that again... I really... will be mad... (and he passes out)
karen : AOKI-SAN!

(takes his pulse and is relieved that he's only passing out, in a series of flashbacks, a woman beats up a little girl)

woman : monster! (well, literally demon... but that doesn't sound as good ^^;;) you should just die!
girl (quite expressionless) : even if I die, mama, you won't be sad?
woman : who would!
girl (looks down) : you won't cry?
woman : no one would cry for you!

(karen closes her eyes as the flashback fades and she smiles at seiichirou)

karen : ...thank you.

(in a church, a little flame materializes in the hands of a little girl, she says cutely to the teddy bear that's sitting on the bench)

little karen : paul, isn't it pretty. (she's actually surrounded by little dancing flames) see, I can do it without even using a match. I'll show it to mama, it's so pretty that mama surely will like it. (a woman opens the door and comes in) mama! look! isn't this pretty!
woman (screams, and slaps her) : MONSTER!! (the little girl looks up wide eyed) if it wasn't for you, we won't have to be hiding in here.
little karen : stop it! mama!
woman (crying, covering her face) : why...!? why did I give birth to a monster like you!? if only you died!
little karen (sat down against a wall while the woman prays to the cross) : even if I died, mama, you don't be sad? ...you won't cry?
woman (looks up angrily) : who would cry for you! (karen only held her teddy bear tighter)

(men were outside their house, talking to the mother)

men : we need the power of your daughter. please let our organization use that strength for the sake of peace...
woman : go away!
men : madam!
woman : that child is a demon! a monster and I don't know what she will do if I wasn't watching over her! (karen sat silently in the next room, when the men are gone, the woman goes to beat her up again) you monster! it's all because of you that those strange religious cults come here!
little karen : ...I didn't do anything. since that day, I didn't make anymore flames... i didn't do anything... ...am I evil just because I have power...? (she's taking this awfully calm...) if being a demon is doing things you should not... then when you are beating me, mama ...aren't you a demon?

(the woman screams and beats her even harder, when karen woke up, she has been all bandaged up and lying in a bed)

karen : ...where am I?
doctor : you're in the hospital. your neighbors called the police.
karen : and mama...?
doctor : ...she's dead. (karen's eyes widen) when the ambulance tried to take you away, she ran out into the streets... and a car... (karen looked down, the doctor hands her the teddy bear) ...here, now get some rest. (and they left)
karen (alone in the room, holding teddy) : ...even so, paul, I liked mama... because she was the only one who every cried for me...
