(a dark dreamscape... an image of kamui bound in many thin wires, he has black, demon wings spread out on his back, he's hurt and bleeding, blood droplets slides down the wires and falls... kakyou suddenly materializes before him)

kakyou : ..."kamui" ...can you hear me? ...you're hurt very badly... both your heart and body... ...why don't you give it up already? your wish... (looks up at kamui sadly) ...you will most certainly get hurt if you continue to wish. you will know things that you don't want to know... see things that you don't want to see... but even so... ...you are still going to continue to wish?

(at that, kamui slowly opened his eyes)

kamui : right now... if both fuuma and I are "kamui" just the same, then there is no one else to stop him other than me... (looks sad) I will... no longer be confused. I will... become stronger than him. above all... I won't let him kill anyone anymore.
kakyou (sadly) : even if the "chi no ryu's kamui", no... "fuuma" will get hurt by that power...?

kakyou (points to the mirror image of the sword in the water) : ...there is always one more person inside everyone. a kind heart and a cruel heart. a beautiful heart and an ugly heart. no matter who it is... there is an opposite heart that exists. the "other kamui" who is making you suffer... is actually also yourself. ...and, at your side... there is yet another who is suffering from their "other self". (kamui looks at him surprised) ...the face that you now see, is not the whole of that person.
kamui (unfriendly) : ...why would the dreamgazer of the "chi no ryu" tell me such things.

(he disappears from the dreamscape, kamui wakes up in bed, it's bright outside, subaru still with bandages over his eye is sitting at his bed side)

subaru (sees that kamui has awakened) : ...I'm relived...
kamui : ...su...baru... (tries to get up but falls down in sharp pain)
subaru (helps him lie down) : you still can't do that.
kamui (falls back into bed, breathing painfully) : ...I... ...always...
subaru : you have been unconscious ever since arisugawa-kun brought you here.
kamui : sorata and... arashi...
subaru : they are fine, neither of them was hurt. (kamui looks relieved, subaru smiles)

I met the chi no ryu's dreamgazer... ...and he asked me... not to wish any longer... (touch subaru's face gently, sadly) ...I got subaru hurt so badly... got saiki killed... (subaru looks at him sadly too, ok ok, they are all sad) and yet, still I...... cannot give up... on fuuma...

hinoto : please do not offer any apologies. saiki-dono's death was not your fault. it was... (looks down sadly) all my fault. saiki-dono died to protect me. but I... am not worthy of his protection. I know you are also very pained, but it is not comparable to mine. you may just proceed with the path that you have chosen, for the sake of your wish.
kamui (notice that she's trembling) : ...hinoto? (goes over concernedly) are you feeling ill? because I insisted to...
hinoto (trembling, like she's getting very sick) : ...the remnent scent of a dreamgazer's vision... ...so you have met kakyou.

fuuma : "the future has not yet been decided", huh...
kakyou : ...since when did you......
fuuma (grab his hand and pressed him onto the grou... er... water surface) : ever since you appeared before the "ten no ryu's kamui". (smirk) as long as you cannot refuse me, you cannot stop me from appearing inside your dream. (looks towards hinoto who is on the other side of the sliding doors, not aware that she's being spied on) the future has been foreordained. you who can see through dreams should know that the best. plus... if the future really does change, then your "wish" will not be realized. because I am the only one... who can kill you.

(kakyou lies on the water surface, completely expressionless, fuuma vanishes from the dreamscape, kakyou looks at the water reflections again, with tokyo tower, kamui and fuuma, and an image of kamui and fuuma both holding the holy swords and facing each other)

kakyou (close his eyes sadly) : there is... ...only one future.

(elsewhere... in a street center square kinda place, fuuma was sitting on a bench alone, when suddenly a little girl went up to him)

girl : onii-chan, onii-chan! (cutely) you'll get a heat stroke if you fall asleep here. there's been a lot of earthquakes here recenetly, so you shouldn't daze out. you never know when the buildings are going to fall down.
fuuma (smiles) : is that why you came to wake me up?
girl (hops on the bench besides him) : yep!
fuuma (very kind smile) : thank you. are you alone?
girl (^^) : I came with mom, but she's shopping right now. (holds out a froggy doll) I've been waiting here with this guy.
fuuma : I see. (gets up) I'll return you the favor of waking me up. (takes her over to a vending machine, there are tones of them in tokyo)
girl (points) : hm, hm, this one! (point, fuuma buys the can of drink for her) thank you. (and then he buys three more, the girl looks surprised) onii-chan, you're drinking three?
fuuma (smile) : oh no, I'm using them.
girl : for what?
fuuma (smile, holding my favorite tea company's can ;_;) : to destroy a kekkai.

fuuma (gets up and smiles very sincerely) : because it is your "wish". (he waves goodbye and watch the girl leave with her mother, and his expression turns dangers again) ...because you do not want to "die" yet.

(at the four corners of ebisu, there is each a lone can which no one paid any attention to. as the girl and the mother left, an electrifying energy begins to shoot up from the cans, and it eventually covered all the buildings in ebisu. the source of that, is of course, fuuma. the cans break apart and a ray of light shoots up into the sky, from afar, it looked like a thunder dragon was soaring over the city. the builds fall apart completely, people running for their lives. fuuma is standing in the middle of the smoke clouds expressionlessly)

fuuma : there are truly... only a few people who would wish that they "do not want to die no matter what" ...here in japan.

(of shinjuku which was in total ruins already from the last volume, only the city hall building is still standing, in the basement, beast's screen displayed the destruction of ebisu)

satsuki : ebisu's "mark stone" has been destroyed. the entire ebisu region is in earthquake.
yuuto (standing next to beast, as usual) : ...ebisu is destroyed, huh. I guess that lady will be mad. (scratches his head nonchalantly... he was talking about karen, satsuki's attention secretly focused on him again) but that certainly is amazing power, that kamui has. (smile) and he's hardworking. I don't do anything at all, and we can't contact kusanagi-san, and sakurazuka-san moves independently. the only ones breaking down kekkais are "kamui", satsuki-chan and nataku-kun, since the seven angels all work for themselves. (he notices that kanoe is looking kinda sick) what's wrong? kanoe-san.
kanoe : ...I don't know, but I just have a bad feeling about this. I don't have the power of a dreamgazer, instead I can only spy on my sister's dreams of the future... but... when I see that "kamui"... (image of fuuma with a smirk, kanoe is trembling) ...I just get a bad feeling.

(scene change... this time, it's hinoto's dreamscape... the usual vision of tokyo tower, of people in cloaks standing on it... and blood. kamui stood over hinoto expressionlessly with the sword in his hand and there was blood all over the place... the dream fades into the face of hinoto's evil reflection in the water)

evil hinoto : your dream will not come true. no matter what you do, the future will not change.
good hinoto (covers her face) : STOP IT...!
evil hinoto : what are you afraid of? (smirk) you who has been a dreamgazer in the long years ever since you were born should know very well, (points to the scene of hinoto being killed by kamui on tokyo tower) the future has already been decided. even the fact that your dream will not come true, is part of the foreordained future. no matter what you do, what you wish for, this dream of the future will not come true. (the good hinoto covers her face and cries, the evil hinoto's hand begins to reach out of the water and she actually surfaces entirely)
good hinoto : HOW...!? (shock)
evil hinoto (touches her face gently) : are you surprised that I was able to come out of the dream and touch you? (hugs the other hinoto) you can no longer trap me inside your heart anymore. (smiles)

(the good hinoto cries helplessly, but she suddenly made up her mind and forcely pushed the evil hinoto back into the water, she becomes her reflection once again)

evil hinoto (fades away in the water) : the time will soon come when we will meet not only in your dream, but in the real world as well.

(the good hinoto is left crying alone. in kamui's room, he's gotten well enough to get out of bed, subaru came to see him)

subaru : ...are you alright?
kamui (still with some bandages, but he's ok) : I can't just lie in bed all the time.

(subaru smiles, kamui tries to raise a hand to tie his tie for the school uniform, but it still hurts a lot and he shivered. to his surprise, subaru took his tie and starts tying it for him)

kamui : ...... thank you.

(it's a nice scene that subaru ties kamui's tie for him, but i KNOW what you sxk ppl r thinking... and the answer is NO, subaru belongs to SEISHIROU!!! *whispers* and he's also an uke~~~ *ahem, ahem*)

kamui : ...they still haven't found yuzuriha.
subaru : ...that's right. (done tying) I think he'll be relieved now also.
kamui : he?
subaru : segawa-kun... that is. (the super genki dude, kamui looks a bit surprised) he seems to remember me from the one time, and after the shinjuku earthquake, he'd about kamui every time he runs into me in clamp academy. "why hasn't shirou-kun been coming to school?" he's really worried about you.

(thinking a lot as he's going to class) what did kakyou mean, that I will meet fuuma again if I use the holy sword. why would it lead to a "horrible tragedy"? and... (remembers hinoto's evil grin) was that... really hinoto? (suddenly someone wakes him up from all the daydreaming)
keiichi : SHIROU-KUN-------!! (grabs kamui in the hallway) I'm so glad! I thought something happened when you didn't come to school...! (notices the bandages on kamui's arm) AHHH! you really did get hurt! I would have come to visit you if you told me!
kamui (sweatdrop) : i... it's fine already.
keiichi (he's a bit too much for me -_-) : REALLY!? really, really!? (kamui nods with a sweatdrop, keiichi looks relieved) that's great! I was really upset the whole time when shirou-kun wasn't here. that it would be just like with father and mother, when I wouldn't be able to see you again. lately, when there's an earthquake, I would think, is worrying the only thing I can do? if only I have the power to stop the earthquakes... I really thought. of course earthquakes are not the only natural disaster... but recently, almost everyday there is an earthquake somewhere in tokyo... (looks sad) if I could only stop the earthquakes... then... maybe I won't lose someone important anymore. (kamui looks sad as well, keiichi cheers up and scratch his head embarrassedly) ah! I sound just like a kid who wish to have super powers! [my mom says that I'm still like a kid all the time] ahahahah, funny, isn't it. shirou-kun, if you think it's funny, don't worry, you can laugh!
kamui : ...I don't think it's funny.
keiichi (looks at him a bit surprisedly, since kamui looked so serious and then smiles kindly) : ...thank you.

daisuke (flashback) : I've asked seiichirou-san before, about how to make a kekkai. (that day in the elevator, what he told kamui) to protect something very important, always wish so very powerfully when creating a kekkai.

(elsewhere in tokyo, people are going about their daily lives but on a rooftop somewhere, blood is dripping from a man's hand... now you have three seconds to guess who kills with his hand -_-;; *ahem* anyway, fuuma appears)

fuuma : is your job done?
seishirou (not surprised to see him, then again, he is rarely surprised) : yes, do you have business in shibuya?
fuuma (sitting on a vent, holding an ice cream cone) : since nataku wasn't able to derail the shibuya yamanote line before, I came to give it a little push.
seishirou : I see.
fuuma (points to a building) : but you saved me a lot of trouble by staining that building with blood.

(an earthquake hits the streets below, the building in question and all of the shibuya structions breaks apart totally as another thunder dragon soars over the region, seishirou and fuuma though, stood on their rooftop, completely unaffected by the surrounding)

fuuma (offers the ice cream) : want a bite? it's very good, chocolate chip.
seishirou (has a taste) : sure, why not. (the building are falling down left and right around them while they are having a little chit chat -_-) it is good. where's the store?
fuuma (people running for their lives, being crushed) : in shibuya.
seishirou : then I guess we won't get to eat that anymore. (watch shibuya just... crash)
fuuma (smile) : there's a chain store, in mejiro. shall we go next time?
seishirou : sure.
fuuma (looks at the mess with an evil glow in his eyes) : ah, but... the transportation would be a problem, since we can't go by the yamanote line anymore.

(the earthquake from shibuya has not affected other parts, however, a quake beings from the shibuya station and runs along the train line yamanote which circles around tokyo. no other parts of the city was damaged except along the train line, it ran an entire circle around tokyo, destroying the whole rail track)

fuuma : yamanote line is a circular kekkai built in the form of a buddha's hand to protect tokyo. when the ring is broken, it loses its power.
seishirou (smile indifferently) : yamanote line is destroyed... huh. (looks at his ice cream) well, let's go eat all the good food before tokyo is completely destroyed. (he hasn't really changed, has he... seishirou and good food -_-) why don't we go to the crep shop together?
fuuma (smile) : sure. (expression turns cold again when he looks at the burning city)

(in clamp academy's main database room, sorata and arashi are looking at damage reports)

sorata : yamanote is completely destroyed. one of shibuya's kekkai building 109 has fallen, and the damage area widened up to shibuya station. (seems very troubled) the yamanote line is one of the main kekkais that protect tokyo. ...this is bad.
arashi : ...yes.
sorata : but, the problem is that we don't know where the "chi no ryu" will appear at next. more importantly, it appears that one of the "chi no ryu" is a dreamgazer, who can read the ten no ryu's movements to a certain degree. is the princess still not feeling well?
arashi : it looks like she's still resting.

(just then, the doors swung open and the three clamp detective dudes rushed in)

nokoru : arisugawa-san!

(inside, sorata has a funny expression and he's looking around since arashi is no where to be found... then there is an arrow pointing to arashi... and she's standing on the other end of the room, back facing them -_-;;)

nokoru (-_-) : ...looks like we are intruding. [I really picked a bad time.]
sorata (funny face) : [ahahahahah] (scratch head) oh no, it's only my one sided confession! nee-chan probably thinks that she's saved. so, anything? do you know where the chi no ryu will attack next?
nokoru (holds a disk) : we are not certain, but the computer has determined the higher possibilities.

(so the four guys went over and started checking out maps and wer intently focusing on the monitor, arashi stood on the side and her gaze just fell on sorata. she touched the strand of hair which he had held before and looked at it meaningfully... and smiled. elsewhere, kara was standing on the streets in front of public television which is now showing the damages done to shibuya)

reporter : look! the fire in the shibuya region has been put out! but it is in complete ruins! (shows a ruined building) that's shibuya station! (there were some curved up pipe looking things) are those snake like things the rails!? but why did the destruction of shibuya station cause all the other yamanote stations to break down as well!? (displays ruins all over the city) it's completely unexplainable.
karen (looks at her hands sadly) : so the kekkai that I created was useless... (meaning that although she saved shibuya once, she didn't really save it from being destroyed)
seiichirou (coming down the street) : karen-san! (runs over) are you really not hurt!? are you alright!?
karen (smile) : I told you on the phone that I'm alright. I had switched jobs before so I wasn't in shibuya then.
seiichirou (glad) : that's great.
karen (curiously) : were you worried?
seiichirou : of course!
karen (smilse kindly) : thank you. are you fine as well?
seiichirou : I was in the office the whole time.
karen : what about your wife and daughter?
seiichirou : my house is located outside the yamanote line. (meaning it was not affected)
karen : that's good to hear. (they just walk along the street, talking)
seiichirou : I called home in a panic and they just told me, "we're fine over here, so why don't you calm down." (scratched his head in embarrassment) they made me take deep breaths over the phone. (karen smiled a bit self-pityingly, but then turned to seiichirou with a bright smile)
karen : you have a wonderful wife.
seiichirou : thank you very much.
karen (remembers something) : oh yes, how is your leg?
seiichirou : it's fine now. plus, I did that to myself.
karen : but it was my fault. (flashback to what happened)
seiichirou : it's alright. because karen-san already promised me.

karen & seiichirou : [EARTHQUAKE!?]

(they both use their supernatural hopping powers and uh... get to the source of the quake... and there is nataku)

karen : that boy...

(nataku notices them as well, he's surprised to see karen, and he has a mixed expression which almost looked sad for a second, and then heads off since he's done with the kekkai)

karen : WAIT!!

(she wants to go after him, but the kekkai/buildings near by is already breaking down. seiichirou holds karen in one arm and creates a wind barrier with the other to protect them from the falling debris)

seiichirou : are you alright!?
karen : yes, thank you.

(and then seiichirou realizes very embarrassingly that he has his hand around her waist and he jumps back, turning very red)

seiichirou : I, I'm sorry!
karen (curious face) : hm, that's a fresh reaction.
seiichirou : EH!?
karen (starts laughing at his redness) : I never met someone who apologized for touching me in my work.
seiichirou : that person before...
karen (gets serious as well) : that's the boy who derailed shibuya's yamanote line.
seiichirou : so he is... one of the chi no ryu.

(the whole place is making this noise like it's going to fall apart any second, buildings are all breaking down)

seiichirou : the building with the keystone has fallen! it's dangerous here!

(another electrifying dragon soars in the sky over this region, tall building all collapse one after another, seiichirou and karen gets out in a hurry, dodging all the debris)

karen (thinking sadly) : [that boy's eyes... (thinks back to nataku) looked just like an abandoned child... they were the same eyes I had back then...]

(hinoto's dreamscape, she watchs as yet another region in tokyo broke down, also sees karen and seiichirou in the image)

hinoto : yet... another kekkai is destroyed... (dream fades into a large map of japan) tokyo... is breaking apart... yet all I can do is simply watch as everything is destroyed before my eyes... all I can do is see the dream of the future... but if seeing the future does not change anything, then what is the use of a dreamgazer...

(looks down and cries silently... while she's off guard, a pair of hands reach out from the darkness behind her and hugs her from behind)

evil hinoto : you must be sad... to watch everything be destroyed and people dying... it must be painful, to simply watch and not be able to do anything... (her hand reaches into hinoto's dress through the collar -_- uh... what is clamp hinting at?) but if you hand over your body to me... you... will no longer be sad or pained. you can just continue to sleep... and forget about everything... (whisper in her ear seductively) I will be protecting your dream. sleep, and entrust yourself to me. go... to sleep...

(the good hinoto is slowly losing to the evil one, she's kinda melting away... just when she's half dazed out already and powerless to stop her, she looked down... and in the reflection of the water, is an image of kamui and fuuma again, facing each other, holding the holy swords... hinoto saw the image... and saw a rather calm, sad... but resolute expression on kamui's face, and she suddenly woke up...)

good hinoto (push the other one away really hard) : ...even so... (trembling from another heavy ordeal... as the evil hinoto backs off) I... want to believe... in the ten no ryu... and in kamui.
evil hinoto (smirk) : we'll see how long you can hold out. (starts to dissolve into water) it is only a matter of time, you yourself... should know that the best. (vanishes)
good hinoto (still breathing heavily) : ...I... can no longer... suppress the other... if I see her one more time... this body will certainly be handed over... (the reflection of the water shows kamui killing her again on tokyo tower) ...but before that happens, kamui...! ...change the future, and kill me like in this dream...!

KIGAI YUUTO

(in a very normal looking building, so very normal since it's the government's civil service office)

man (very energetically) : I want to register my child's name!
yuuto (^_^) : congradulations. [is it a boy or a girl?]
man : [it's a boy!] and! this is his name! (holds up a piece of paper which reads "kamui"... yuuto looks at it with a o.o face) w... why, we can't use this kanji for names?
yuuto (^^) : oh no, I just happen to know a boy by the same name.
man (interested) : what kind of a boy is he!?
yuuto (thinks about kamui) : the people he loved all passed away, ...a lot really happened. he had to deal with someone he trusted suddenly turning on him...
man (concerned) : does that... have to do with his name......
yuuto : well yes, in his case.
man (runs outta there faster than the wind) : I... I'll go think of another one!
yuuto (still standing calmly behind his counter) : I'll be waiting. (looks at the piece of paper the man left behind) ..."kamui". (smiles) but I do think it's a good name. (a bit more sentimental) ...but being the name of the one who bares the fate of the world... I don't think it's possible to live happily.

(later, puts on his coat to leave)

yuuto (to his co-workers) : well, I'll be going first.
co-workers (some women) : [have a good day----]
yuuto (gives them a bakery box) : here's some waffles for your overtime, go ahead.
co-workers : kyahh----- thank you so much------- *heart*
yuuto (wave) : see ya tomorrow.
co-workers (giggling as he walks out) : kigai-san is so wonderful-------- *heart*

(outside... it's night, yuuto arrives in a part where satsuki was waiting for him)

yuuto : sorry! sorry for making you wait! [but I'm already 10 minutes early...... *sweatdrop*]
satsuki (she never smiled so prettily to anyone else -_-;;) : I just got here.
yuuto : but that doesn't change the fact that I made you wait. [I'll get here 20 minutes earlier next time.]

(they are standing by a fountain, the water is very pretty... and they seem to splash towards yuuto a lot)

satsuki : water always seems to like you, yuuto-san you really are a water master.
yuuto (^^) : it's just like water tricks. (the water is flowing around him)
satsuki : then why do you use other weapons?
yuuto (looks at his two spear thingies) : because it's troublesome. [it takes too much concentration to control water.] if I could, I would rather use these.
satsuki (really wants to know) : ...why did you accept kanoe's invitation? what is it that you want? (but to her surprise... yuuto's answer is so very ... yuuto-ish)
yuuto : nothing, none at all. if there really is something like fate, it would be nice if you fight against it... (waves of water gathers around him) but it would also be interesting if I just follow the current of thing to let it flow as it does, as see what happens in the end. [ahahaha] ...though it sounds rather casual. (satsuki smiled understandingly on the side, yuuto smiles) well, shall we go? [how's italian for dinner?]

(the two walks off, yuuto glanced back for a second, at the water that was splashing in the air)
